Mulan Chinese Restaurant is in a strip mall on the eastbound side of East Evesham Road. I remembered this strip mall only because of a frustrating geocache near the Wawa store at the east end of the building. I never thought to check the rest of the strip mall until this weekend and I'm glad I finally did. Mulan really is a treasure. I tried the General Tso's Chicken and it compares favorably to some of the best Chinese takeouts I've tried so far in South Jersey! In addition, the fried rice is also quite good. You won't find the horrible yellow fried rice that you might've seen at other Chinese places.
Mulan only has 3 tables in their dining area but this may not be a problem because most of their customer base (that I observed) was only there for takeout. Service was overall very good and accommodating, with just a bit of a communication gap. They seem to keep the dining area and restroom rather clean as well. And oh, the Mulan art on the wall is pretty remarkable too. I've never seen anything like it at any other...
Read moreWell just had Mulans tonight in which the food was inedible to say the least. Had General Tso Chicken with Fried Rice. Fried Rice was over saturated with Soy Sauce like it was swimming in it. The chicken was bad that I spent 5 minutes just trying to chew it. It was like chewing rubber. Add a Egg Roll to it. The egg roll was from what you get at a grocery store frozen food aisle in which it had a bad taste that I had to seriously drink alot of water to wash it down. Definitely bad cooking here as well too many short cuts using leftover from a day or 2 ago then reheating it slapping some sauce to cover it over the left over taste/texture. It was so bad I put it in the sink and was DONE WITH IT! Definitely going to need some Tums after eating this GARBAGE! Go elsewhere folks and don't waste your hard earn money...
Read moreI used a menu from the web to place an order for food from this restaurant, only to find that the prices were way higher than published. The food quailty was very poor. Roast pork lo mein with slightly more than a few pieces of pork for 8.95 and fried rice which was not thoroughly cooked and crunchy. The ad states free delivery over 15.00 but I was charged delivery on a 19.00 order. I called them and a very, very nasty man who refuses to repeat his name stated it's the wrong menu and they cannot find the person who published a menu over 10 years ago. Well at the bottom of the web sit clearly states it's Miles Technology and I was able to contact them. This restaurant is a fraud and the food quality is the worst. Where else can you find 2 badly...
