El Norteno — Restaurant in Waco

I live in the area and eat there once or twice a month at least. The food is good and usually the prices are reasonable. But today I called in a order since I was a little pressed for time before i needed to get to work. I ordered a burrito for myself that consisted of bacon, beans, potatoes, and cheese. When I walked in to pick up my ordered one lady asked if I was Crystal and had my order ready for me. I kindly said yes and please when when she asked if I needed salsa. And then I thanked her. Another lady rang up my order and said $5. The lady that got my order out looked at her kinda confused saying "huh"! The lady that rang me up gave her a look out the corner of her eye like "don't say anything I'm making more money". So I asked "$5 for one burrito"? She said yes. I already had a couple dollars out to put in the tip jar on the counter. So I payed the $5 and put the $2 in the tip jar. However I have been there before and have gotten two burritos for that price just a couple weeks ago. I am not thrilled that I was charged $5 for one burrito that normally should cost about $2.50-$2.75. I feel like she did that because I only ordered one thing. I'm only one person so why should I have ordered more than I needed? I took pictures of it to share on here but I'm not sure how...

Used to, I would be giving El Norteno a 5. Unfortunately, the last few times I've been... not so great! This morning has been the worst.. called my usual in, egg and bacon, potatoes, cheese, jalapeño. @ 7:30, Was informed that they had no bacon due to "a large order".... your a popular breakfast place.... be prepared! So... went ahead and ordered without bacon. While attempting to pick up and pay, the lady kept answering the phone and or trying to call back someone because she took their order and forgot to tell them they have no bacon... okay... but meantime, I still want to pay and get my daughter to school on time.... after we leave, I find that they made my bu r tito without eggs as well. Very disappointed with just potato, cheese, and jalapeño. WTH???? They get a 3 cause I have hope....FYI... previous recent issue has been cold potatoes on my usual....has...

After visiting about 5 times now I just walked out. There was something sticky on menu and hair stuck to it. the After my daughter had radition this morning we were meeting my husband who works down the street. We came in about 5 min until 11am. About 11:15 after sitting and waiting we asked for chips and she wanted to charge me $2.50 for chips because we were there sitting at the table before 11..like 5 min before. Tje service here is absolutely ridiculous. The food is not that good and every single time I've been we have had the same rude lady. They were talking in spanish about us too. We paid for drinks and walked out. I will never visit this place again or the 2nd one in Laguna Park jalepenos eithet. You've lost customers over 5 min and 2.50 chips and make us eat breakfast to?! You work guys just go because they are close and fast i bet....
