Squirrely's Tavern — Restaurant in Waco

We stayed the weekend at Camp Fimfo! We enjoyed the food here. It’s so new, great vibe, friendliest staff and bartenders. Outdoor and indoor setting. Live music was cool on Fri & Sat night. We kept ordering the pizza because the cheese is so good and the pizza is big for the price. And good out of the fridge too! Ok so the jalapeño burger is delicious! The last bite is so good. The tater tots are crispy. Teenagers also had the Caesar salad. It was a big portion served in a big bowl and so fresh. The restaurant is the perfect all day stop because it also offers Blue Bell ice cream, huge snow cones perfect for summertime. There’s the casual side, the tavern, full bar and plenty outdoor space. Thank you to the chef & staff. The only thing that surprised us is you close at 9pm but totally respect that because most families headed to their cabins or rv’s after a full day...

Meh. We are not from the area and were looking for a dinner place nearby that was open. I was excited by the rating, but it wasn't anything special. It's Tuesday, so maybe it's better on the weekend? We also are not camping at the park, so maybe people like it for any easy option? There wasn't really an atmosphere. It's just Cafe style and they were out of certain foods. $60 felt like a lot for what we actually got. But we're not hungry anymore, so...

I stopped by this place and was a little disappointed in the food. The burgers were great, but the side of homemade chips were not fully fried. So, we had uncooked or floppy potato slices. The price for 2 burgers and 1 patty melt meals = over $50 plus tip. Beer on tap is narrowed to 4 choices. Alcohol choices are overwhelming, which is cool. Well, we tried it and now cam say this place is cool , but definitely needs some changes to its...
