Saw this place driving home. Thought we would try it out. You know it's authentic bbq when says "sold out" in the front window. My husband and I have had a lot of bbq from all over Texas and Kansas city. I love bbq sausage and no other so called bbq places in ohio have bbq sausage. We tried the pulled pork, brisket, and sausage plate for $30 and loved it. We tried their homemade sweet bbq sauce and thought it was fantastic. It's about time an actual bbq place opened up here in northeast Ohio. Good size portions with a great price. Definitely stop here!
Update: Went here on 03/29/2025. Their internet was down. We are the first customers of the day. They have no other way of taking a credit card, which is no way to run a business. We come here so often that they know my husband by name. While their food is good, their loyalty to their return customers is poor. You always have to have a backup in case your internet goes down. Turning a customer away and telling them to go get cash is a poor way to repay loyalty. Will not be back...
Read moreThis was our second time getting a family meal. We first got food shortly after Book’s opened and were impressed with the quality of the meat. This time, the entire meal shined! These guys obviously have put in the work to keep improving on their already very good food. Now they’re crafting really outstanding meat and excellent sides. We got both the brisket and pulled pork. Both practically melted. The brisket was moist with a rich smoky flavor. The pulled pork was fall apart tender with the same delicious smokiness that penetrated well past the bark. The cornbread and mac and cheese were both delicious (especially the mac and cheese). It’s come a long way since they first opened and both are a step above what’s usually expected at a bbq stand. We cannot recommend this place more highly. It’s a great value for the quality of food. If you love good barbecue, this is definitely worth going out of your way for. If you’re from the area, be thankful we have a place like...
Read moreProbably won't be coming back. There food is great but if you have a local customer who is pretty regular and you know by name that always tips and has advertised and brought you local busimess and your internet goes down. You should either make a carbon copy of the credit card or as I did volunteer my phone number and I can pay him when the Internet comes back up.
Do not tell your regular customer who waited all morning for you to open up and was first in line to g Drive 10 min to a bank and get cash .
It really left a bad taste in my mouth I love to support local businesses but if you build relationships with customer then treat them good and it will be returned 10 fold . I would have been more then happy to pay you when your internet came back up man all you had to do is call me or take a copy of the credit card. I'm sorry to leave a review like this but after the near 1000 dollars I have spent there i think a little trust...
