I'm not one to write reviews, however, I want to set your expectations if you go to the Tail gators, or the former Wadsworth Cleats.. 1.) It's not cheap. Our party had 3 kids and 2 adults. We had the kids split a 30 boneless wing Combo ($23.99). Seemed like a good start cost-wise. I had a grilled chicken sandwich and my wife ordered the Beer Cheese sliders. We got the Nachos appetizer as well. Our bill came out to $72, $84 with tip! We could have gone to a P.F. Changs for that price. I looked back and realized that $14 of it was for our (5) Diet Cokes. So watch out for the soft drink prices. And don't order any sides of say Ranch or Sour Cream. They run for $.89 a piece! 2.) The food was not good. The wings were drizzled with BBQ sauce, not shaken. I've never seen that before from a wing joint. My wife's sliders were clearly discolored, frozen patties, of which you could buy in any frozen food section. And I only ate half of my "grilled" chicken sandwich because the meat was so tough! It was clearly a frozen chicken breast that they nuked and then put on a grill for a couple minutes to make grill marks on it. Really bad. 3.) The service was average at best. I'm not a big critic of service because it's a tough job. But this place was empty and this waitress acted like we were intruding on her smoke break. We added chicken to our Nachos for an additional cost, which they then forgot to put on the nachos. We told our waitress so we wouldn't get charged and she actually inspected our nachos to make sure there wasn't any chicken! It was comical!
So please, if you go, I advise you stay away from $3 Cokes and go with waters. Don't split your wings up with two different sauces because there is an additional $5 charge for something that crazy. Stay away from the $10 frozen burgers because you can get a fresh burger from almost anywhere these days. And DO NOT get anything "grilled" chicken. Something was just not right about that chicken breast. If you must, stick strictly to the wings but don't have high expectations. In fact, try Wing Street instead. It's cheaper and the sauces are amazing there.
I'm a fan of Wadsworth and really wanted to like the Wadsworth Cleats, but $84 later, try Wing Street or head out...
Read moreMy girlfriend and I went here today to get lunch after work and we were extremely disappointed. We've gone here quite a few times to eat but today was different. It took them roughly 10 minutes to seat us and the establishment was not even busy. We were then told to seat ourselves and that the hostess would follow us (weird) so we did. Most places we go ask us if we want lemon with our water, they just brought us lemon in our water.
I decided today to try something new, I got the half Italian sub on the lunch special, my girlfriend got the quarter pound burger. I tried my sub and it tasted weird, something felt off about it and left a bad taste in my mouth. I waited and then asked the waitress if they could get me a burger instead, I was met with hostility (well we will see, I'll ask my manger but I'm pretty sure we're going to charge you). As the manger and the server were talking my girlfriend was still eating her burger. As the waitress came back my girlfriend took another bite and all of a sudden starts scraping her tongue, she had a hair in her burger that got wrapped around her tongue. She showed it to the waitress as she pulled it out of her mouth. She gave us a confused look (I know nobody wears gloves or any kind of hair nets in their kitchen) but she walked back over to her manger for a moment as she came back she goes (you guys can just go). The tone was so rude and condescending during all of this.
Not too mention on days it rains they prop the men's bathroom door open and set buckets in the bathroom because the ceiling leaks.
On this day they lost us as customers, and as supporters of...
Read moreFood was decent, I don't know if I'd make it a destination but I would certainly have it again. We all three enjoyed the food we ordered well enough and the wings were particularly good. The service was less impressive. The server made her best effort to be nice I would just consider her someone I might not want representing my store in person, and no amount of niceness makes up for the fact that almost everything she brought us was wrong and ended with us eating in different shifts and different parts of our meal as they arrived separately throughout. We were seated in a corner trapped I on all sides by a large party that we couldn't maneuver in and out from any side without a big to-do on a night where plenty of tables were available elsewhere in the restaurant. Undoubtedly due to the party, we also waited much longer than one would expect for the type of bar food we ordered. I've been there other times for drinks and the experience has been pleasant enough and the manager a nice guy, but as a dining experience we were left...
