What food that they do put out on the hot bar is tasty. And I love their chicken and mushrooms. But, there are several problems with this place. They NEVER change their menu. They have the same food day after day after day. I would love to see coconut shrimp on their lunch hot bar and Chinese pepper steak also. Having the hot crab and shrimp casserole would be an added bonus. I also wish that they would cook their broccoli a bit longer. Their beef and broccoli has a delicious flavor; however, their broccoli is barely stir-fried. It is like eating raw broccoli. It would be much much more tastier if the broccoli were either stir-fried for ten or so minutes longer, or steamed for about ten more minutes. They have the same soups day after day after day. They never have the pork wonton soup, which I think is the best Chinese soup in the world. My Daughter and I would rather go to Fergus Falls and eat at the Chinese restaurant down there because their lunch menu is different from day-to-day. And they always have coconut shrimp, the Chinese pepper steak, and the Chinese crab and shrimp casserole on their hot bar every day. They also steam their vegetables much longer than Beyonds...
Read moreI really wish I had more stars to give. I have friends who swear this place is great so I postponed my initial review because I felt as though they had excuses(maybe) for some of their shortcomings. However, after my second visit, there wont be a third. It was identical to my 1st visit almost two years ago.I really wanted to like the food but it just wasnt there. Half of the chicken was a different temperature than the identical piece next to it. The egg rolls/lobster rolls were warm at BEST. The fried rice is clearly not fried, it was just yellow. No real flavor profiles were present unless you added your own sriracha or soy sauce. The tip is required upfront if you're paying with a card so I did 24%...poor choice. EVERYTHING except the plate removal was self serve. Not even a good night, good bye, etc. Based upon my experience here I can not comprehend how this place has the rating they do...I've read the other reviews and great, homemade, and amazing are not even close to the reality here. Panda Express is more homemade and authentic not to mention I at least get a thanks vs "how many?"...
Read moreSo don't fall for all the good reviews others are giving. The food here sucks. It wasn't even out that long. The sauce for all of the chicken dishes was basically water. Nothing was seasoned properly and was rather bland. The fried donuts had little to no sugar on the and were greasy as hell. The hot and sour soup made me want to puke. The meat wonton tasted like an experiment gone wrong. The lo mein and rice were also bland.
The only good food was the soft sponge cake dessert that looked store bought. The egg drop soup was OK according to my bf and one of the only things that was acceptable in his opinion.
You would be better off just buying the orange chicken or general Tso chicken from Walmart. Your stomach and wallet...
