First time here and the service was the best part of the experience. BUT, when it came down to the food, everything was pretty subpar. I had the ‘camarones a la diabla’. The rice for all of the platters was SO dry. Pretty sure it was a day or two old and they just reheat it over and over again so it ends up really dry. Their shrimp was definitely over cooked as well—was very chewy. Their chicken was good a long with their baked potato. Their “ribeye” wasn’t all that great either—pretty sure it was a flank steak. No sear, and contained SO much fat. Seasoned fries were good at least. Their chips were yummy but their salsa was just… salsa (not spicy at all). Overall, not a huge fan of their food, but the server was great. He was very kind and attentive to...
Read moreDelicious all you can eat catfish on Fridays! On a side note......Yoli's perhaps should consider at least medium sized paper napkins. Catfish is in some cases, to some diners, a finger food, and the size of napkins they use, alongside of what was provided for a group of three dine-in customers.....well, we had to ask for a at least a "few" more. The service is impeccable, and I've dine here previously, and their food is always on point. I haven't tried foods such as their fajitas, but I loved the chill atmosphere of Yoli's as opposed another Mexican restuarant off of 7th St. Cough, cough, ahem. I have had the bacon wrapped shrimp which is also a fave of mine, they do it wonderfully,...
Read moreMy goodness… this was by far the worst tasting Mexican food I’ve ever eaten. The appetizer sampler must’ve been covered with cheap cheese and zapped in the microwave bc everything was hard as cardboard. I was able to lift it altogether off the platter with a fork and put into a carry out container for my son who is known for devouring leftovers but left these untouched. Nothing was good. The salsa and chips were mediocre, the queso dip looked like thick gravy and the enchiladas were just plain nasty. Definitely won’t be...
