A stop at Ludwicks on our way to GR has been a must since they no longer sell at the Flea Market in Muskegon.(many years ago!) We were worried when they sold to Bill Knapps that the recipe would change. We have tried them 3 different times over the summer and have noticed a change. The donuts now stick to the roof of your mouth! At first we just thought we got a bad batch. We used to have a package every week, now we no longer purchase them! It's a shame when the perfect plain donut gets changed from perfection. We always enjoyed stopping in their store to stock up, the employees were always friendly. I'm not big into writing reviews, but Ludwick's is easily my favorite bakery in the fine state of Michigan and I figured I would share some quick thoughts. The baked goods are delicious. I am in love with the Chewy Coconut Cookies and their signature Sour Cream Donuts. They always taste super fresh like they have just been baked.

I also have to give a shout out to the staff. Everyone there is exceptionally friendly (especially that little blonde curly haired girl). They are very helpful and listen to their customers. Also, I went in and was given free samples, which is never a bad thing!
