How dare the manager tell the grandmother of a TWO YEAR OLD to “tell her to be quiet” 😲 if yall racist just say that! If kids not welcome just say that!
Gloria Loyd statement: I usually don’t post certain things but I just had to do this one. Last night my family went to eat at Cagney’s in Walkertown and we had been there a few times never had a problem. Well last night we sat down like we always do and put Disney on the phone for our 2 yr old granddaughter. She is very smart and animated she is at the stage of learning things so she gets animated when they tell on the movie she yells, if they cry she cry. So she yelled loud when a certain part came on. She is two so she does not know her tone yet. My husband got up to go pay the bill and she yell hey where you going across the room she loves her pops and thought he was leaving her. The manager came over and told us to tell her to be quiet she is making customers leave. This was a lie no one got up to leave. How do you tell a child to be quiet at two they don’t quite understand that yet. We do work on her inside voice but she is learning and imitating things so it takes time. On several occasions I have seen kids there of other color scream, fallout on the floor , pitch a fit but nothing was said about them. I politely told the manager don’t worry we are leaving and we won’t return. This is discrimination suppose there is a child that comes in there with autism or something else wrong with them are you going to put them out. We told the manager this was total discrimination and he should feel stupid about what he said about a two year old child. Evidently he doesn’t have kids. We will never patronize any Cagneys ever again. People watch how you are treated our money is just as good as anyone else’s and we don’t have to...
Read moreCagney's Kitchen & Pizzeria Experience ( Call-In Edition). In passing, I saw that Cagney's had opened a location in Walkertown. I reviewed their menu online and called in an order for their Chicken Souvlaki Platter with marinated chicken on pita bread with tzatziki sauce with french fries, homemade chips, or potato salad, with a side of Greek salad. However, I ordered a double greek salad instead of ordering french fries, homemade chips, or potato salad. Whoever I spoke with over the telephone was pleasant, and they told me to pick up my meal within 15-minutes.
I pulled up to the pick-up window on the side of the building and found it convenient since I did not have to get out of my car. Once arriving at my location, ready to eat, I noticed someone gave me ranch instead of tzatziki sauce. Also, instead of having double greek salad, I had double regular salads. Although I did not ask for it, I was thankful for the ranch because I only received one pack of balsamic dressing. Talk about disappointed due to my order being made wrong on top of the drive to patronize Cagney's.
People, please check your bags before pulling off!!!! Cagney's is not the only place that messes up food orders, but I have noticed that staff hired at food establishments hardly care about customer service or getting your order right. The taste of the chicken was ok and nothing to write home about, and due to my order not being correct, I can't say my experience was too enjoyable. I am not sure I would return to Cagney's again. I would put Cagney's on the line of being a diner, and with so many choices to choose from, some things are sure to fall between the cracks when it comes to flavor...
Read more(Update 2023) Recently we’ve ordered out around 5 times in the past month. It seems like some of the staff who I complained about working the pick up window before are gone. I’ve had nothing but stellar service and experiences lately. I hope it stays that way. I took off one star because there’s a “service fee” of sorts for paying with card which I don’t remember there being before. However, the person who takes the orders over the phone typically ask how you plan to pay each time and they inform you of the card fee. Card fee is just odd to have to charge for a place as busy as Cagney’s.
Avoid the drive thru. The frustration of having to call in an order to staff who have attitude problems, don’t listen to your order half the time and are rude in the pick up window isn’t worth the price or convenience. Every Saturday morning we order the same breakfast and every Saturday morning it’s a problem. We’ve quit giving them chances and are just going to go elsewhere from now on.
(Update) after screwing up our order and rudely asking my wife if she was sure that she called the right restaurant her name was on the order mind you they still messed our order up after talking to her in person. Walkertown needs more places to eat, this place has been very disappointing after we were so excited for it...
