Olympic Family Restaurant — Restaurant in Walnut Cove

This was our first time here tonight and I'm extremely upset. The hostess was oblivious. She proceeded to take people and try to seat them before customers whom were already waiting in line. We then asked for a high chair and instead of saying they were not available (all in use) she sat us down and walked away. It wasn't until I asked her again that she said oh we dont have any . That's fine, we made due. However, say that from the begining.

Our waitress Jen was very nice. My major issue comes with my food. I ordered the chicken slovaki which I didn't realize immediately was extremely undercooked. I proceeded to eat this with the pita and feed my 10 month old baby this. Something tasted off so I begin taking the chicken apart to find it pink everywhere and on every piece. What upsets me the most is the way it was handled. Two waitresses seen it and handled it beautifully and took care of it on our bill and even replaced with something else. However, the manager seemed to have cared less. Not once did a manager come apologize or even address us on the issue. I understand things happen but you can't serve raw food and leave the customer hanging as a manager or owner. For this I have given 3 stars. If it wasn't for the amazing way the waitresses handled it the review would be much longer. Now to pray my child or myself doesn't get sick because I feel as if the manager/owner wouldn't care anyways.

Whenever we go to Walnut Cove to visit my mom, we always go to Olympic Restaurant for lunch. It's our ritual and we look forward to going. The food is always hot, tasty, fresh, cooked to perfection and always, always delicious!! Hats off to the cooks in the kitchen!! We live in Greensboro, NC and we won't eat seafood anywhere else. We look forward to the great customer service and we have our favorite and very special waitress named Anna who always goes the extra mile to satisfy us. But it's not just us but everyone else gets a little extra attention too. Any waitress that you get will go out of their way to help you even if you are not in their station. It's just always an awesome experience every time we go. If you are ever in the area or close to this restaurant, please take the time to stop by and get some real Southern Hospitality and great food!! THANK YOU STAFF OF OLYMPIC RESTAURANT!! My family and I went to Olympic yesterday morning for breakfast. The place was packed with no seating available but we were the only people waiting at that time. The waitress told us the obvious that we were next to be seated as soon as a booth or table opened up. Well, more people came in including 2 older men who began to complain about waiting. A booth became vacant and the the waitress promptly seated the older men who were behind us so we left. Normally we wouldn't care but we were short on time because my Grandson had to be at his baseball game at a specific time. These men didnt appear to have to be anywhere soon. Unbelievable that the Olympic staff would seat people ahead of people who had obviously been waiting patiently plus were there first just because these guys came in and started complaining about...
