The staff is always pleasant. Sweet. Even though I've only stopped here a few times. I pass by here everyday on the way to work. But I have been to other locations in the past when I was out on the road. They do have plenty of ice coffee flavor options (I'm a ice coffee person), but it's not bold enough and they all taste like it's mixed with caramel or hazelnut flavoring. They have all of their ice coffee's sit out at room temperature so once it pours over the ice there's no ice left. I've worked in the barista industry (not that much long ago) when I was like 15-25 years old from chains to corporate settings. Even worked for Dunkins for several years. Which is so advance now. I think Mary Lou needs a new system to their ice coffee program from brewing to keeping it in a fridge that dispenses the coffee. Most coffee establishments whether it's chain or corporate invest in a lot of technology to improve their products. It's just not having a bunch of pink and decor. Everything seems so cluttered. That kind of style has been outdated for awhile now. Home vibe just doesn't work anymore. People like things minimal. I have never tried their food items but it looks good. The atmosphere is clean, spacious inside a gas station, there are public restrooms, and there's ample parking. People go in and out very fast. Again, staff is pleasant. I was very excited for this location as many people are considering it’s the first closest one to the north shore. For over hour drive and coming into YOUR PLACE OF BUSINESS it’s extremely disheartening that clearly none of these employees were trained properly on how to make specialty coffees, and all of your employee are so young, and none of them have emotional control. Never in my professional years have I EVER had a waitstaff look me dead in my face and say “what’s wrong with your coffee now” after waiting 25 minutes with my coffee remade twice until I walked into this establishment. My orders are fairly consistently made, I usually get flavored ice coffee and go in the mornings when they are staffed better. I find the morning staff to be very pleasant. The handful of times I have gone in the late afternoon, it has been the same girl who is unwilling to help. I recently ordered a bag of beans and asked for them to be ground. She clearly didn’t want to do so, stating that “most people buy the whole bean and grind them at home.” I told her I was buying for a friend who doesn’t have a grinder.
