Iāve been sitting on this review for a few weeks. Iāve been having the hardest time finding words that truly describe the experience I had. Iāll start with the fact that both owners are lifelong friends with each otherā¦and with me. That, however, had no influence on my experience. This is also their second act when it comes to careers. They both had very successful careers during their first act. I had never visited the bakery before this. Itās a bit of a distance from where I live. However, I happened to be in the area last month and stopped in for a surprise visit. Itās a small business and it comes with all the advantages small businesses have. Itās VERY welcoming and VERY charming. Itās an open floor design. From the front counter complete with display case, you can see further back to the prep area, the mixers, ovens and sinksā¦and beyond that, dry storage, kitchenware storage and hand washing area. Itās bright, painted white and very clean. Licensing and certifications clearly posted. And a staff that really enjoys working there. I witnessed top notch customer service while I was there. I went home with some peanut butter cookies. I knew theyād be delicious. I didnāt know that these cookies would beā¦by farā¦the most amazing things Iād ever had. It was like my taste buds were brought to new level of pleasure. I have worked with some of the most celebrated chefs and pastry chefs in the country due to my line of work. I enjoyed these cookies more than any pastry Iāve ever had anywhere. Large selection of items on the menuā¦sweet and savory. Visitā¦purchaseā¦indulgeā¦enjoy! Support local businesses. Support small businesses....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreVery good. Went to pu something to bring to a cookout and didn't want supermarket garbage. Bought mini canolli, anise drops and ricotta cheese cookies. All were very good except cookies were softer than I typically like. It was pricy but homemade stuff usually is. Only negative I can think of is the young lady boxes up the canolli but didn't sprinkle powdered sugar on then like most Italian bakeries would but if that's all I have to complain about I'm doing good.
Will definitely go back on holidays etc..
Thanks for the response, good to know. The only reason I rated it 4 VS 5 star was selection. Everything was great I guess I'm just used to larger, full...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWalk in and the fragrance of bread baking and sweet treats surround you. I try to get over to Forno as much as possible to get their sourdough bread ,excellent and recently stopped by on Friday to try the pizza. Definitely must go back for more! It's a real chill vibe and yet growing up in an Italian neighborhood it triggers sweet memories. Btw, a must buy when you go are the canollis which hands down the best filling, Deliziosa! and the cheesecake brownies, and these sweet little breakfast knots (that I never can remember the name) but...
