First of all, My family loves the food overall! BUT
The last few months is like they do not listen to the customer. A few weeks back, I brought my grandmother there and we ordered a couple frappes and waited and waited and waited all the while seeing everyone that ordered get there food. Ok. But after 20 minutes, I start talked to the guy next to me and he was waiting for an ice cream as well. So we both decided to find out what was taking so long. We asked and was given a strange look and "oh". After another 10 minutes, We finually got our frappes.
Going there several times a week still to get meals and hardly ever getting the extra sides I had ordered and never knowing if I was charged for them or not which I expect to pay for them if I ask for them
We today go to Kool Kone and order 1 fish and chip, and 2 orders of boneless buffalo tenders with NO blue cheese but with extra ranch dressing for both, and 1 Frappe. When it was ready, I asked "Is there extra ranch for the buffalo tenders" and yes I was told. I get home and realized the frappe is frozen solid? Huh So I go back down and show then. After telling them, and one tells another with dumb founded looks and waiting for a response. Finally someone hears that seems to know something that was going on He says "oh that must be the one that was left in the freezer for the night. huh? But then he produces another from the freezer which did seem freshly made. So I finally get back home and open give the fish and chips to my 95 year old grandmother. I open the Buffalo tenders and again blue cheese, no ranch. I go to check on my grandmother eating her fish and realize she has ranch dressing all over her fish (well there was the extra ranch). Fish now ruined and no ranch dressing left. Kool Kone, "What is going on?"
Again, I love Kool Kone but the smaller things...
Read moreNegative reviews for this place, including my own, are being false reported and deleted. Despite this, I might as well at least try to get mine back up, just for the sake of saying “at least I tried”. I’ll cut out the parts where I (justifiably) insult the manager, but, aside from that, there’s really nothing about my review that I’d really say might need changing.
The owner of this restaurant “has the heart of a child and lacks the skills that are necessary for regulating his emotions”. When my brother worked for him, he got yelled at for an hour straight. The manager accused him of stalking women, and having a hitlist. He said that he hoped he was wrong about the accusations he was making, but if he wasn’t, then he would kill my brother. Along with this, he started ranting about things that were completely unrelated. He started saying that he was in debt, and he complained about transgenders, despite the fact that my brother isn’t trans.
This supposedly isn’t the only time he’s done something like this, and I’ve been told that he still does this from time to time to this day. The latest situation that I’ve heard of, was when he yelled at a couple of new employees while banging his hands against the table. This is the kind of behavior I’d find from a “person who lacks the necessary skills that are required for self care”, and not a business owner.
On a side note, this restaurant isn’t sanitary. That’s not just my opinion, cause it’s failed health inspection before. From what I’ve heard, employees would find things like rodents and bugs all over their workplace. This isn’t surprising, because I’ve gotten sick from eating their food on...
Read moreI wish I could give zero stars. Absolutely awful. I'm not a qualified food critic in any sense of the job however I feel based on my experience this is justified. I could make better food in a microwave. I got a Caesar wrap and fries. The wrap was so ridiculously full of dressing I couldn't get through half of the sandwich and left with intense nausea. i had not been sick before and have no illnesses or anything which would make me feel like that. The scenery looks messy and disorganized, the tables outdoors were too close together for comfort, the picnic tables were slanted horribly (I kept sliding down without noticing). The service wasnt very good either. The teen who took our orders looked dead in the eyes and like she wanted nothing to do with us. I feel like the only decent thing on that menu would have been the ice cream, but that's probably because it's supposed to come from a freezer unlike everything else my family and I ate. Keep in mind I dont know about the ice cream either because I didnt even eat it (Due to my nausea from the wrap!) Never again. (Side note: $46 for 4 wraps and drinks which isnt awful, but take into consideration the following: one wrap full of lettuce and dressing, two wraps full of large chunks of chicken, and one with excessive amounts of expired croutons and no chicken. The fries were soggy and even me a French fry lover!! couldnt finish. Also, the golf course looked run down and not even worth the time. How this place got a phantom gourmet sticker...
