Our family was highly disappointed with the overall service, long wait for food (49+mins after ordering) and hit-or-miss taste/quality of food served.

Although The Gateway was recommended for its selection of food - I think having such a large menu contributed to the inconsistent quality of and unacceptable length of time it took from kitchen to table. Once received, 3-out-of-5 items needed to be warmed.

I ordered JUMBO fried wings. They were your standard to smaller party-size wings, but a good serving size. The bruschetta pizza was overcooked, burnt in many areas, EXTREMELY dry and tough to chew. Not impressed. In addition, the chicken wings and fish-n-chips were over fried and dry as well. It's really a shame because the parmesan garlic sauce for the wings was quite flavorful and complimented the wings so well.

You will definitely be impressed with the baby back ribs. Two orders were placed and both were hot when served, flavorful, moist, tender, juicy and fell off the bone. An absolute favorite out of all the dishes served. With the exception of being on the cooler side, my husband enjoyed his chicken parmesan with linguine.

Unfortunately, due to no cutlery provided, overcooked food, lack of server presence, inconsistent quality of food and an extremely long wait from entrance to placing our order to actually receiving food... 3☆'s was given. Over 1hr on a Mon eve with no waiting list is unacceptable.

I think the Gateway has potential to be a really good restaurant... especially if the quality of food from the cooks to the servers can be improved. I think they are trying though.

One last suggestion to the hostess would be that you greet your customers upon arrival and departure. Being glued to your cellphone is not...

Went here a few days ago, waited 20 minutes then had to ASK for someone to come take our drink order, the waitress finally comes over and throws the hostess under the bus claiming she “had no idea we were her table”. We were pretty hungry by that point so we told the waitress we were ready to order she said “ok I’ll be right back with your drinks then I’ll take your order” and was gone for another good half hour, came back and took our orders at long last then offered us bread, but fifteen mins later told us another waitress took the bread that was supposed to be for us, and that they had no more. Then when we asked her for silverware because we never got any she literally threw it all in a pile in the middle of the table (gross!!!), kept disappearing and forgetting our drink refills, finally we asked the hostess to send us a manager because by that point we had been there for two hours and still didn’t have our food, and she just send our waitress back over who gave us a half a$$ed apology. Obviously we are understanding of being short staffed and what have you but this was literally the worst service I had ever experienced in my life, when the food came, two of our 6 meals were under cooked, so we requested a manager AGAIN and whoever came out and introduced herself as the manager seemed like she also couldn’t care less that we were having terrible experiences. When we got the bill, they had only deducted one round of drinks and one meal, in my opinion this experience warranted at least a 25-50 percent discount. By the time we left we had been there for THREE AND A HALF HOURS, and we definitely will never be going back. Very very...

We frequent this place see as though my mom lives in the area. Whenever I come from Milton, Massachusetts, I like to come and get some great seafood and awesome muscles a little neck.. to my surprise the muscles are now loaded with yellow peppers. They give it too much of a tangy flavor. I could barely taste any chorizo in it. We both ordered the seafood boil, substitute the rice for the potatoes.. the red Bliss potatoes were served hard and cold. They took it back with no problem. The beats have no flavor at all. I have had them before and love them. Mom had zucchini it was flavored really nice with garlic. The bread was impeccable with garlic lightly toasted, and butter. The seafood broiled casserole. Mom had a whole fillet of haddock underneath on top that came with shrimp and scallops. When I received mine, I had a quarter of the haddock underneath so I was extremely disappointed. They were extremely nice to take it back in the chef made me a new one.! I also had a cappuccino martini that was really good Sarah and Lily were extremely accommodating and friendly great servers ! Forgot to mention it is winter and as we’re eating, there’s tons of flies

In town for a wedding tonight and just stopped here for lunch. I don’t usually review things, however, people need to know that this place is awful. From the moment you walk in the door…. The smell of musty, mildew fills your nose to the point you want to block it. We opted for seating outside, despite it being muggy, because we would never have been able to make it through. At this point, I wish I had left but we were with another couple. I ordered the chicken mango with jasmine rice and 2 bites in, could not take another. Probably the worst cut of chicken breast I’ve ever seen. It was veiny, and gray in areas and no fat was trimmed. The mango sauce was mostly peppers and onions, with little flavor to add. The rice was just a starchy ball of nothing. No butter, no salt, no fluffiness. First impressions are important and I can honestly say that everything about this place was terrible, the cluttered old decor, carpets, the smell, the service and the food. The only high note, which in the only reason for the 1 star, was the little mouse eating his bread under the table next to us.
