I ordered a pizza from here and when I went to pick it up I pulled infront of the store and was going to wait a few minutes to go in because I hadn’t called long before. While I was sitting there I could see through the giant windows on the building that the people making the food weren’t wearing gloves, they were putting their hands in their pockets and scratching their heads. One girl opened the register and moved something then turned around and opened a pizza box with the same hands she just had in the money and was touching the inside of the box where the food goes. I watched a guy run his ungloved hands thru his hair and then use the same hand to scoop cheese out of a tub onto a pizza. I think it was the same guy that picked something up off the floor and throw it away then go back to making food with that hand. I just didn’t even get my order after seeing all of that. If that’s what they’ll do infront of an open window with people outside I can’t imagine what they do when nobody’s around. When I worked food service, I worked for the most backwards and “unique” people but they beat it into us that it’s not our food, it’s the customer’s, so we don’t have a right to get our filth into their food. Similar things have happened a lot in this area, it’s concerning anymore. I work in quality control in an industrial setting so I’m keen to pick up on people not practicing good habits and it was all too obvious to see here that they’re not even trying to act like they have a clean kitchen...
Read moreI have been looking forward to trying Big’s for a while, so this was my first time ordering from them. I called and ordered around 12 noon. I ordered a large pizza with triple cheese. My wife and I wanted a TON of cheese. We were going ALL OUT today lol. I adamantly explained to the worker on the phone that I wanted an insane amount of cheese lol. Anyway, when we picked it up, there was no extra cheese. It was the same amount as a normal pizza, along with our other toppings. We spent an extra $10 for the extra cheese. What a waste. We were VERY disappointed, as the triple cheese was our only request and we were so excited to try a new place and indulge. Additionally, our daughter’s mozzarella sticks were small and undercooked. So, we won’t be coming...
Read moreStanding in line waiting for our food I observed the lady making subs with no gloves on. She then wiped her hands on her already filthy apron and pants. She proceeded to make more cold subs, touching all ingredients without gloves and did not wash her hands between meat and veggies. When she ran out of salad she went to the back and grabbed the prepack of lettuce, cabbage and carrots. She poured half of each bag in and then mixed it with her bare hands. I have been in food service and have had my Serve safe certificate before. I know the law about prepared food and using gloves. I spent $85 to feed my family and I'm sorry to say that we loved the pizza and stromboli but we...
