Moose Scoops Ice Cream — Restaurant in Warren

NOT FRIENDLY TO TOURISTS!!!! Visiting New Hampshire with my family, we happened upon this ice cream place. Wonderful first day experience, led me to beg my family to go the next day. My son ordered a large soft serve only to find that it fell on the way to the car. That happens. I immediately requested a new one, only to be shut down and glared at with, " That is why we gave you a dish." The lady handed me a cup of just a small amount of ice cream. I politely said my son would like a new ice cream in a cone. She did not want to give me another one and kept telling me he should have put it in the dish. I basically had to beg for a new cone. I placed my credit card on the counter. Still refusing, my son said he would take a medium instead. The lady then swiped my card, finally handed me a medium cone, and I was mortified. I was sooo confused by this experience. I was extremely polite, yet extremely besides myself that this even occured. The entire staff looked at me as if I had done something wrong. Growing up going to camp in NH, Moose Scoops has always been a staple of my summer experiences. They have a wide variety of delicious flavors and also offer merchandise for those like me who have been going back again and again for years. They also do not skimp on the portions, so you are absolutely getting your money's worth.

When I went back to camp as a counselor, I also realized the entertainment value of Moose Scoops, as it is very kid-friendly with the moose character and outdoor seating where kids can tire themselves out running around. Have been going for 3 years now. We have found a big variation of size of servings in soft serve. We got one that was 5-6” tall as a medium, next time it was barely 3” tall as a medium. Ordered a sundae with NO nuts and it was covered up in nuts! Pup cups have gotten super small this year as well. And the service window has black mold all over it on outside. Must of been there for a few days. Must clean outside as well as inside. Not the same as it had been for the past 2 years.
