I ordered the Penne Pesto Primavera, when I think Pesto I think basil not sure what kind of Pesto it was, possibly a very light parsley. Nonetheless it was a nice sauce, Pasta was a little dry on top (from sitting under a heat lamp?) But tossing it with my fork solved the issue. House salad is very subpar served on a miniature plate it is a bit of iceberg lettuce 2 sweet pickle slices and 2- 1/2 tomato slices. Dressings we're good though. Save room for the homemade bread it was very good. My wife had the mushroom ravioli which was wonderful. We sat at a table for 5 as the table set up is way too crowded, they really need to remove 2 tables to allow for more tables to be used comfortably. Reasonable prices, good value, our server was attentive and friendly. We will frequent this place again and hope they solve the minor issues of crowded seating and the joke of a salad.
Heads up it's BYOB . Visited once agĆ in and same issues, no changes still need to remove 2 tables from the dinning area. Same wimpy salad ice Berg lettuce (unripe tomato and dill pickle slices on too small of a plate.) Mushroom ravioli once again excellent, my wife had the asparagus and shrimp over linguine with a wine sauce, sauce was thin and lacked flavor. The asparagus was pale and relatively tasteless. Service was good, salad came and had to wait 3 or 4 minutes for the dressing to arrive. Overheard the group next to us raving about the pizza crust that it was crispy, golden brown and not soggy, we'll have to try the pizza in the future. I'm hoping they read this and make a few changes. Overall I like the place it could be great if they work...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOur pizza from here was definitely a step above the central PA norm for pizzas, but that bar is very low compared to pizzerias from New York, Buffalo and Chicago that we have enjoyed during our travels over the past 40+ years. We tried Lo Vasco's version of stuffed pizza. The top & bottom crusts were very thin and tasted like they were prepared with baking soda instead of yeast, but thankfully the top crust was coated with seasoned oil which added some flavor to the pie. The mozzarella and ricotta cheese fillings were of excellent quality, but the pepperoni, ham & salami tasted like the nasty Dietz & Watson stuff from our local grocery stores. Both the meat & cheese fillings were also on the scarce side. The sauce that was served on the side was more of an under flavored watery marinara instead of a well seasoned pomodoro, but that's just par for the course here in central PA. The dining room here is closed, so if you're not from the local area beware that you will have to take your meal home and eat it cold. With the dining area closed off and not being used by patrons you'd think that the tables would be sanitary, but that is not so. While waiting for our pizza my wife sat at a table and read a local newspaper that was available. The newspaper got stuck to the filthy table and ripped apart when my wife tried...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy two little children, my husband, brother-in-law and I ate pizza here š When we went to put our 18month old daughter in a high chair that the server brought over it literally fell apart into pieces and my daughter fell on the floor, just barely caught by her dad. She had a minor bump on her head. My husband had to request to speak with the manager who said he SAW it happen... after stumbling over his words he told us that the weather and covid is the reason the chair broke and was reluctant to even say SORRY!! A few minutes later he brought some dessert to our table as if that was going to fix the problem. We had to ask him to check the other chairs and I watched two more chairs literally break in front of me. What kind of establishment has not replaced broken high chairs? Don't put your kid in their high chairs and also be aware that the place obviously neglects safety. The pizza was honestly pretty good so maybe take out but I wouldn't dine in. The waitress was more concerned about how she looked in her yoga pants than...
