This year has been rough for everyone. I was especially sad to hear that this place had closed and stayed closed from sometime in March all the way through the first week of November. After about six months of some friends telling me to try the place, the Yellow Deli rebranded and opened it's welcoming doors again. I approached not quite knowing what to expect. I was greeted by soft smiling faces, soothing instrumental music and the aroma of fresh herbs and home cooked meals. It felt like I had been stuck in the cold harsh winter of the Covid pandemic, and the Yellow Deli wrapped a blanket around me and sat me by the fire. Now for the food; they specialize in freshly made deli sandwiches, hot and cold. If you feel you need a little something else, you can take your pick of the handcrafted daily soup specials. I've tried 4 of their 6 hot sandwiches. Honestly, it's impossible to go wrong with whichever you choose, and they do have vegan options as well as a make-your-own choice! Between the calming atmosphere, soothing comfort food, and warm personalities of the staff, this place will become a staple in anyone's restaurant itinerary. It surely is my favorite in the...

DO NOT EAT HERE if you want hamburgers and fries.

Visit here if you want to share a unique and quiet setting with your family or someone special. This has been the top of our list for 10 years.

We enjoy their garden fresh salads all year. The salads are as fresh in February as May. All their dressings are home made. They also give you a thick slice of buttered French bread to go along with it.

All of their breads and pastries are home made. That makes their great sandwiches even better. My wife says their reuben sandwich is the best ever. You can also make your own sandwich.

For lunch they have sandwiches, unique soups, chili and desserts. Our favorite dessert is the warm apple crisp with vanilla ice cream. Almost too big for one person to eat. The creamy cheese pie topped with strawberries is one of my favorites.

They have different weekly dinner specials. Salmon baked in a light lemon butter liquid with a huge twice baked potato and salad is my choice. The Monday special is an tasty meatloaf with real mashed potatoes and salad. The dinners start at 4:30.

If your looking for a healthy, freshly prepared meal and excellent...

Stopped in for lunch. We were greeted shortly after walking in. Since it was such a beautiful day we set in the outdoor dining area. Nice clean area with a view of the water, (if your tall enough). Have eaten there before so had a fairly good idea of the menu offerings. Wife tried a mint tea they were offering and I had my regular sweet tea, both of which were pretty fresh. She had a cornbeef and Swiss on rye and I had the roast beef with cheddar, lettuce, tomato and cucumber. They offer alot of add ons for your sandwich. An employee came out to have his lunch but checked on us first to make sure we were taken care of. NICE. Sandwiches were wonderful. I would have preferred a plate instead of a basket, but that just preference. Since it was a little celebration I was brought one of the best pieces of carrot cake I have had in a long time. Well done start to finish. You must stop in a give them a try. You won't be disappointed. Not your regular restaurant. Very good...

The wooden interior has a welcoming, home-y feel to it. Even standing outside, the Bluegrass instrumentals playing throughout the restaurant are incredibly charming. I went with my family, not the first time visiting, but we were hungry after driving and packing from our camping trip. Getting there around one, the wait wasn't too bad, it was pretty busy so we had to wait about 20 minutes. When we were seated, we ordered our drinks and food at the same time which helped everything move a lot faster. I personally got the Reuben, however, I do have an allergy to Rye for which they were able to substitute the bread for me (at the request). Although, I must recommend coming in on a Sunday because a bowl of their salmon chowder with a personal loaf of artisanal bread is probably one of the best things you can order. All their salmon is caught by them and it's quite a treat. I can't argue with the prices for the quality of everything, it's certainly a treat if you're in the area.
