Three Filippous Twisted Pizza — Restaurant in Warwick

We have been ordering from here practically twice a week for the past three years, and have tried almost everything. The veggie pizza with pepperoni I had this week was the best pizza I have ever had. EVER. Perfectly cooked crust, lots of veggies cooked but not overcooked, and I could taste the fresh herbs in the sauce. The pizza is usually good, but this time it was amazing!!!

The burgers are usually juicy and cooked to order with fries cooked just right - crunchy on the outside with soft potato on the inside. Can't say I care for the coleslaw that comes with but you can't have everything. Try the Southwest burger. They also have chicken burgers; the Greek one is really good. Gyros too are yummy, if a bit expensive for what you get. Taste wonderful though.

The grinders are also pretty exceptional. My favourite, the Twisted Italian is awesome. Perfectly chewy, Italian bread stuffed full of all the meats and cheese you expect in a good Italian sub. Add onions and peppers, lettuce, tomato, and oil and you have a great grinder!

Finally, lots of salads and apps. Grilled chicken salad, wedge salad and a half dozen others. I've tried almost every one and have nothing to complain about. Juicy chicken arrives hot from the grill on a big salad. I can make two meals from it! And the apps? Calamari, fries, cheese fries, garlic bread, onion rings - need I say more?

I used to love this place and after my horrible experience last night, I will never order from Twisted again. I called in a delivery for a white pizza and when it arrived there was no pizza cheese. I called and asked if that was normally how they made white pizza, the employee that answered the phone said that is not how it's made unless requested, apologized and offered to make another one to send out. She informed me it would take awhile as they only had one driver, I said that I appreciated them making another one and we would wait. I was too patient and waited 3 hours before calling again and the pizza still hadn't been brought out for delivery. The same employee I spoke to apologized again and said she would make sure it goes out with the driver as soon as he came back. I never got that pizza, a refund or any communication and had to spend more money somewhere else just to finally eat. As a small business owner myself, I can empathize with staff shortage issues and have been incredibly patient and understanding with this place when I've had multiple issues with them in the past. Horrible experience at Twisted...once again. The other locations seem to not have this issue (easy to look at reviews). Frank the owner is quite the short tempered, rude, and unaccomadating "owner". It's one thing to know how to own a place and another to know how to manage and coach customer service. Yelling at your customers over the phone, isnt something I remember learning in all my years of customer service. We called in because our sandwich was toasted (lettuce and all...gross) after making sure we did not select "toasted" online. All we wanted was a credit or something to make it right and to provide feedback about their online ordering system. Then the girl at the counter gave the phone to Frank and it was all down hill from there. We will not give this place another cent of our $ and will be sure to let others know not support them. Hopefully someday we will get some more good businesses in this area instead of failing ones that are poorly run. Oh well. Back to the many other, much better pizza joints...
