Barney's Drive-In — Restaurant in Waseca

we are nice people and we always liked Barney's, but today when we went it was inexcusable, the waitress got our order wrong. she went back in to fix it and came out with a bag that was supposed to have our fries and coleslaw in it. we made an order to go because we were tired and we really needed a good meal out today. then they said we were undercharged and came back to our vehicle a third time and charged us for the french fries and coleslaw that didn't get on our order at first. after that we got home and opened our bags and they didn't even put the coleslaw in that they had charged us for. the french fries and the hamburger were horribly greasy and the root beer float certainly did not taste like a Barney's root beer float. this meal cost plenty too we did not return it because we just couldn't handle any more aggravation today. we will never go there again. I have never written a review like this but I think people should know because they need to improve their food it must be a lot less greasy the root beer float has to taste like a root beer float, my husband's wrapper is solid Grease. that was from his hamburger and he said his french fries weren't done and they were very greasy. We used to like to go down to Barney's once a month maybe twice during the summer months but now since they've changed hands it's like it's all gone downhill. First experience was with a full meal where the coleslaw tasted awful, Burger was a blob of grease, french fries were so soggy and bowl of spaghetti was more firm. Second time we decided we just wanted to have some fries to watch with TV went down picked up an order and it was even worse than the first batch of fries that we've gotten there, greasy soft nothing you'd really want to eat as a matter of fact we just threw them away. Third time I stopped cuz I just wanted to get a root beer it was a hot day last year at that time I think it was 265 for the root beer I walked up to the window to get it and handed whoever it was taking the money a $10 bill they closed the window and just went about their business and looked over so I was still standing there opened up the window and said oh you want change back from the 10 that's why I was like you've got to be freaking kidding me. Review of Barney's Drive-In, Waseca

Tonight, we visited Barney’s Drive-In and unfortunately, our experience was not great. I genuinely hope this was just a bad night for them.

After placing our order, we waited a frustrating 43 minutes for our food to arrive. While we understood that busy nights can happen, it was clear that we weren’t the only ones feeling the strain; other cars around us were also getting impatient as time went on.

To make matters worse, we observed a bit of confusion during the order delivery. At one point, we saw our food being offered to two different cars before it eventually made its way to us. It seemed like there was no clear system in place for food delivery, which only added to the chaos.

Despite the challenges we faced tonight, I hope the staff can work out these issues and improve their service. Wishing them the best...
