Heather gets in over her head with too many animals. I’ve fostered for 6 years with reputable rescues. Clearly, this isn’t one of them. She likes to spread lies about not knowing conditions of her own foster animals. Posted photos of her response to a lady taking no responsibility and spreading full lies. HERES THE TRUTH - Fb post said these cats needed a rescue. I offered my outside kitty coop for them until a rescue was found. April 14th, a man helping trapped these animals and dropped them off and gave me Heathers number that day. Lie #1 right there - she was FULLY aware of these animals. I texted her, no response. Had to follow up multiple times. April 21st - STILL NO RESPONSE ON A VET VISIT. Saw the vet on April 28th. TWO WEEKS LATER!!! See all photos. Never offered any food, litter, nothing. Paid it out of my own pocket.
1st vet visit - Heather comes in, doesn’t even say hello. I’ve never met this lady before. She goes straight to the kittens starts taking photos talking about what names she wants to call them. Didn’t even ask if I had names for them, I’ve had them for 2 weeks. I tell the vet that she’s drinking SO much water. I’ve been giving her a can in the morning & a can at night with hard food out all day & churros. She was never without food. They said she needs 6 cans of wet cat food. Heather tells me she’s going to take the cats by the end of the week. Thought I’d have them for longer. She said nope, she has a nursing room they can go in. Ok. Immediately start feeding her what they suggest. The next day, diarrhea explosion everywhere - walls, floor, everywhere. I give it a few days to see if it clears up (no follow up from Heather to take the cats by the way) and message her. No response. Reach out again she said to pick up prebiotics. Said to meet at catfe. Had to wait 40 mins past our scheduled time for her to show up. I ask for wet food and she gives me half a box (4 days worth, if that). With how difficult she is to get ahold of, it wasn’t worth me reaching out. I just paid for all of it. Start feeding mama prebiotics. It made the diarrhea SO MUCH worse. Every time I opened that door, it was everywhere.
May 10th, I ask for another vet visit, again no response. I message May 12th and we schedule it for May 15th. I struggle to get mama cat in the carrier (ask the man that helped with how difficult she is). I bring her and babies to the vet. They don’t even look at her!! Just gave me some pills to crush up into her food. Was all that stress on mama cat necessary if you aren’t even going to examine her?? I asked how old the kittens were and the vet said they didn’t know. No follow up from Heather.
I’m tired of cleaning up diarrhea every day multiple times. Sunday May 18th, I ask when I can drop them off at the catfe, mama cat clearly isn’t getting the vet attention she needs and there’s diarrhea everywhere. Heather said she was going to take them a month earlier but never followed through, too busy hiding cats from the inspector. She asks how old & I said idk the vet didn’t know either. Then she stops responding. 3 days go by and I tell her I’m dropping them off the next day at 330. She got nasty and said she was coming right now to get them today, I said I couldn’t but I could tomorrow at 330. She said she couldn’t & again forcefully said right then. I said no. The man who captured them came to pick up the next day. He immediately took them to the vet and the vet said they had GIARDIA!! Poor mama cat not getting properly diagnosed. Plus that’s spreadable to humans and other animals. Awful.
As for the food situation - she had 6 cans of wet food each day, rarely ate all of it, and hard food out all day with lots of water & treats.!Adding up the cost, I spent over $300 on these animals. Never a thank you from Heather. I wasn’t going to leave a review because I care for the animals, but after these lies she’s spreading - the truth needs to be told. She is not properly caring for these animals and claiming she knew nothing about it. I have receipts for ALLL of this. I’ll post...
