Hallowed Grounds Coffee & Cafe — Restaurant in Washington Township

I'm going to circle back to this in a few weeks when there are no more growing/opening pains. Two visits now with less than desirable service, which is a shame because the food and coffee is great. Visited today after the crowd cleared and stood at the counter 10-12 minutes before there was any acknowledgement that we were even in the building. I usually don't have an issue with this, but at least tell us if you're backed up on orders, or a "hello" at the very minimum. Placed our orders and waited another 10-12 minutes before we were advised that they were out of decaf espresso (meanwhile, other customers who ordered well after we arrived had gotten drinks & food). Again, this is typically not an issue, but it would have been nice to not only have been greeted shortly after we walked in, but also advised of what was out of stock before an excessive wait. Went the other day for breakfast and it was truly top notch! I personally know some of the farms this place works with they truly are giving their business to local families - you could probably count on one hand how many restaurants in the entire county actually do this for a large chunk of their products. This place goes so above and beyond in how they do things. Food was fresh, ingridients were clean, and the price reflects that which is FINE! If you want to eat low quality food theres plenty of places you can go to, but you can tell they care about the quality of what is going on the place, this is my new go to. Service was slow, timid and there was zero sense of urgency or good customer service. There were 16 people at tables waiting for food orders while the line cooks were nonchalantly joking around with one another and making one sandwich at a time. Additionally, the barista didn't know what a flat white was. A pretty common drink for any coffee shop as its a double shot of espresso and milk.
