First strike, I personally ordered pizza and a salad about 6 months ago, both were not good. My fiancĂŠ and I have not ordered there since. Now I have gotten pizza from there through a third party, it was always good and never bothered me when it was through the third party. But this is the second strike when I have ordered, and I have only ordered twice personally, so they are batting 1000%. The buffalo chicken cheesesteak was burnt, dry, and over cooked. As well as the plain cheeseburger being dry, over cooked, and slightly burnt. In comparison, I would rate Johnnie's Restaurant & Pizza's "Cheeseburger", sub par to the local gas station Penn Jersey's cheeseburgers, and that gas station burgers sit underneath a heating lamp for a while before being sold. Whether or not Johnnie's is making fresh food is not my problem, because I will personally not be ordering from there again. As for customer service when I walked in, I said my name and was given my order. I paid and was told to have a good night.
Long story short if you want good food,...
Read moreWe stopped at this restaurant on a day trip to Columcille. It was a handsome building close to the road, unexpected for this area.
The food was good but service was slow. As we were the only customers in the restaurant, this was strange. The bruschetta was not what one would expect but it was tasty.
I was annoyed, however, to discover that I'd been charged full price for a refill of iced tea.
When the giant TV screen came on, Fox "News" was blasting! For us Independents from the Delaware Valley, this was unsettling. We asked our server very politely whether the station might be changed or turned off (we were alone in the front dining area). She indicated that this might be problematic. Finally, the TV volume was turned down and a radio played.
Other than being assailed by loud, hysterical fascist propaganda instead of pleasant music--or silence!--ours was a sophisticated dining experience in the Pennsylvania...
Read moreOnly leaving a one star rating because I HAVE to in order to leave this comment. Tried to get from this place 3 times and each time was progressively worse! This last time we ordered a plain pizza and it took over an hour on a Monday night to get this pizza. Called and was told it should be here any minute..25 mins later pizza shows up ice cold and hard as a rock. Called to speak to someone about getting a refund and offer to even take the food back. Man on the phone was beyond nasty and spoke negatively about three of the other amazing restaurants in the area, which we love. Refused to give us a refund and hung up the call. What type of place treats a customer this way when they clearly are in the wrong. Do not go here! Go to Vinnyâs, Napoli or 512 Resturant since Johnnies based them and said they are âbusier and betterâ than they are...not even close...
