The Original Arturo's Pizzeria — Restaurant in Washington Township

We recently moved to Waynesboro, and I didn’t expect to discover the best pizza I’ve ever had, here, but that’s what happened. I love pizza, eat it a few times a week, and even have my own pizza oven...nothing compares to this pizza. It’s also amazing, reheated. Two other items we’ve tried and thoroughly enjoyed are their special cheesesteak and garlic bread. Both are amazing. The garlic bread is exceptional. We’ve ordered from here three times in the past month, just for takeout, but plan to dine in sometime very soon. The staff are very friendly. We will definitely be regulars. Mind you, I’ve only gotten pepperoni pizzas...so to leave such a raving review for pepperoni pizza...yeah...it’s that good, and consistent. Would very highly recommend to any pizza lover.

Edit: Since posting/sharing my review, I have ordered 60+ medium pepperoni pizzas, all for myself, and can confirm that this restaurant has the best pizza ever. Extremely consistent, not overpriced (especially considering the quality), and the employees have been very kind, genuinely, to me. Whenever I move, I already know I’m going to struggle to find a comparable place to order pizza from. The cheesesteak subs are also incredible. The bread is made in-house, and the quality of the steak and toppings are next level. Love this place, love how personable the employees are, and love the food. Will be trying the spaghetti very soon, which they recommended. I have a hard time believing that anyone could visit this restaurant and not thoroughly enjoy the food, and experience. My favorite restaurant in the Waynesboro/Chambersburg/Hagerstown area!

Second edit: I tried the spaghetti with meat sauce, and it’s amazing. Probably the first spaghetti dish I’ve ordered at a restaurant and thoroughly enjoyed, and I’ve ordered it several times since. I make great spaghetti with meat sauce at home, and don’t like ordering it from restaurants for that reason, but I’d happily order it from Arturo’s again and again. Not to mention, you get spaghetti, a salad, and garlic bread, for like $12. What?! That’s easily a $15+ meal, and I’d gladly pay that....

After a long day six of us stopped in. We ordered our drinks and waited, and waited. When the drinks did come the waiter disappeared. After a few minutes he came back and took our order two pizza's. After 40 minutes our drinks were empty and no pizzas. So my 5yr old who was starving and husband went to the salad bar. Out of nowhere a waitress (Ellie) comes to me at the table and asks if I ordered the salad bar? I sent her to talk to my husband, which she did only to say he needed to pay for the salad bar. He told her that was fine that some of us needed to eat that we had been waiting for to long. She ran to the counter to make it be known she was adding the salad bar to our bill. Meanwhile still no pizzas, or drink refills. Now 55 minutes later pizza's arrive to the table, we had to ask for refills. So now we're happily eating, and here comes that other waitress (Ellie). With a bad attitude she asks if we have a problem? I had to ask her to repeat herself! Then I asked her for the manager, and that's when she informed me she was the manager. At that point I had to let her (Ellie) know her attitude was horrible and my husband let her know that waiting 55 minutes for 2 pizza's and being treated like criminals for going to the salad bar was poor customer service. She proceeded to tell us that the waiter was her 16yr old brother who was new and she couldn't help bc she was also the delivery driver. At this point our meal was ruined. We asked for boxes. Now a boy who looked about 10 gave us boxes at the counter as we carried our trays of pizzas up, paid an 80.00 bill then had to box our own pizza. The manager (Ellie) disappeared, and no one said a word as we walked out after being harassed. The pizza...

I moved from New jersey and was excited to find this place to get amazing Italian food. Been coming here for over 3 years.The service is getting absolutely horrible each time i go there. The last 3 times 2 times horrible experience while the place was empty. The first time waited over a hour for my food. They compted me my whole order and today we waited over a half and hour for my food. I ordered chicken parm dinner and they didn't make the chicken parm only the pasta. The manager or owner never comes out to apologize or talk to you. The reason the first time I got compted the whole meal is because I was was walking out after the 4th time the waitress told me they were working on it. The manager or owner yelled to me he was not charging. Today nobody said anything to me. Sad thing is we love the food but can't handle the disrespect, lack of accountability, and the lack of care for...
