Woody's Diner — Restaurant in Washington Township

We've had a family member eat here before and highly recommend it. He loved the Tailgater burger! He brought the rest of the family and we had one burger severely undercooked. They took care of it for us. All was well. We decided to come back today. Wrong choice... It reminded me of something youd see on a restaurant impossible episode.

First off, I ordered the nachos. I'm not a fan of beans and the menu did not specify it came with beans. Apparently "taco meat" includes beans. (Beware they will turn your stonach in a heart beat. The wonders of canned cheese) After an hour of waiting for our food (just four people dining) I was not going to wait for them to make more. One ordered the deep dish pizza (not deep dish at all. It was thin crust with the crust coming up the sides...that is all.) One ordered the santa Fe chicken dinner. The chicken was as burnt as could be. And the last person ordered their regular burger (it was fine.) At this point we decided to ask for the manager. He came out, we were polite and he did nothing, but sluff us off. We told him about the menu not being specific, the joke of a deep dish pizza and the inedible chicken with a piece of kraft cheese on top. He offered ti get me something different but ignored the other two mistakes. We werent asking for free food or anything. We honestly just wanted to let them know so it didn't happen to anyone else. But honestly with how long we waited and how atrocious the food was we atleast hoped they'd take care of it better. We got our check and nothing was taken off... at all. $52 down the drain. Atleast our dog will enjoy some dinner. (Atleast she liked it)

With all that being said. If you're going to risk it and go to Woody's, just stick with...

I normally don't write restaurant reviews, but here it goes. 1st of all Woody's normally has been good in the past, but this evening I was appalled. I don't blame the servers, however' I ordered the Pork Loin Dinner with baked potato and tater tots. All was great until I took a bite of the loin. Instantly I could tell something was off. The meat had turned and had a rancid taste and smell. I had my wife try it and another friend smell it and they both agreed it was bad. I asked the waitress just to take it back since I only ate 2 tater tots. I didn't ask to have it removed from the bill and I'm an honest person who always believes in paying my way. That should've been the end of it, But.........

Then the female owner came out to our table all huffy and proceeded to yell at me, that I was wrong and that she ate the whole thing and that it was fine. (Personally I'd think that would tend to be just plain gross). Then she proceeded to shout and tell me off that I've always complained in the past and in front of other customers. Which is an out right Lie!!!!! Really I am appalled!

The only time I've ever complained was when I got a $36 surcharge on a $32 bill which was ridiculous and that complaint was well over a year ago. I still paid the bill in full with surcharge and all, because I refuse to be thought of as not paying my own way and I have always over tipped. Yes I guess others would say I'm gullible.....

I wouldn't have said anything but this experience was like something out of Gordon Ramsey's Kitchen Nightmares. I still tipped the Waitress over $9. on a $21 bill. No one should have to be treated horribly by a restaurant owner, no matter how high the Restaurant is Rated.

I have been camping up at a campground at Indian Lake for over 3 years now. Woody's used to be my favorite restaurant, NOT ANYMORE! My daughter and I decided to swing in and have lunch after checking on the camper. First off, service was bad. Our waitress was no where to be found, and when she did pop up she took forever to get to us. When she finally got to us we ordered our drinks and food so we wouldn't be waiting again. The unsweet tea tasted horrible. So, my daughter shared her lemonade with me. After getting our food almost 45 minutes later mine was not exactly hot. My daughter ordered the chicken fingers & fries, hers was piping hot. I ordered what I normally do half order of potato skins, and mushrooms. My potato skins were not hot at all neither the mushrooms. Not once did she walk by and check to see how we were doing after she dropped off our food. It took forever to get our check due to the lack of attention our waitress was paying to her tables (could have been because she felt the need to flirt with an employee more than work). She got an extremely small tip, lucky to get one at all (if you can't do your job I will not reward you for just showing up). Good thing too as I got food poisoning later that night. Thank goodness my daughter did not. Will not be eating here again. You lost my business all due to your waitresses slacking motivation to work and not keeping your food properly safe from things like food poisoning. Not to mention they are not following the health department guide lines of spacing their customers out. Each table is full. Wonder how quick they would change that if the health department were...
