Heard it was good from a local. Looked great, decor and vibe were awesome. Server/Bartender was seemingly the only person working the front, for several tables. Arrived to take order, offered up a breakfast prime rib hash special, but couldnt tell us what was in it or what it came with. I specifically asked if it came with eggs and was told no. Soda was flat as it could be. Iced tea tasted watered down. Wife's fish and chips came out and server brought an extra plate as if we were sharing one meal, even though I ordered the special. Coleslaw tasted like plain mayo and cabbage. Tarter sauce was okay. Fish and fries were mid tier. After she was about half finished with her meal, we finally asked where mine was and got a let me check from the server and then a, "just came off the grill." Surprise, it has eggs, undercooked, not how I would have ordered them. Also, mushrooms, which also weren't in the brief, "I think" description, which I would have asked to be left out. The whole plate was covered in cheese and swimming in the grease from the cheese. It's all I could taste. The plate also had a very dry biscuit, which wasn't accompanied by any kind of butter or jam. Just dry. $20 bucks for your left over prime rib outlet just to drown it in cheese. Was never asked if we wanted drink refills either until we asked for the check and at that point we just wanted to leave. 0/10 won't...

They must have had an off day, unfortunately. Every time I eat here, the food is great. But this 1 time was awful. Got the prime rib dinner for like $30 or something like that. The dinner came with prime rib, baked potatoes, and asparagus. I asked for rare. We finally get our meal. My prime rib was nowhere near rare. There was no pink. The baked potatoes were COLD in the middle. It couldn't even melt my butter. Instead of asparagus, it was a cut vegetable mix. And the sauce to dip it in was cold as well. I said to myself, "this meal is not worth the money I'll be paying." So I had them take it back, and I ordered a burger and garlic fries instead. When I got my burger, there was WAY TOO MUCH BBQ sauce on it. It just drowned the burger. I did not receive the garlic fries I asked for. Instead, they were overcooked & extremely crunchy regular fries. They server was amazing, tho. She apologized and comped the whole table except the burger. It wasn't her fault. Idk. Maybe the cook had an off day, but the people I was with won't be returning. Oh and the musician who was playing music had his equipment way too loud for the small amount of people...

Had a nice meal here pre-covid and stopped in tonight for a bite. Waitress warned that she was alone behind bar and it would be a while. No problem, not in a rush and there were only 6 or 7 tables with anyone at them. Returned to the bar a few minutes later and asked if we could order 3 draft beers while we waited. She rolls her eyes and huffs about needing to get ice and stomps off. Really bizarre but we know she is stressed and just go back to table. We watch for about 15 minutes and she manages to deliver 2 draft beers and a couple of glasses of water and seemed to be working slowly to make some mixed drinks orders... Really slowly. It was obvious she was in a snit about not having help and slow walking everything. We call across the river and confirm the beer we wanted is at Portway and decided to leave. My wife is a sweetheart and goes up to let her know not to worry about the beers and we will come back when it isn't so "busy". Bartender refuses to even make eye contact or acknowledge the courtesy. The one guy sitting at the bar looks as shocked as we were. Really need a recession to fix what covid...

Less of a restaurant with a bar, more of a bar with a restaurant. No real separation so if the guys at the bar are getting loud about a game or whatever, you can hardly hear each other across the table. Menu was much more limited than I would have expected for a place calling itself a "Roadhouse". Got the seafood linguine. The Alfredo sauce was really thin and watered down so the noodles didn't really taste like anything. There was either cod or halibut pieces and they were cooked fine but also so bland as to be flavorless. And there were bits of calamari which were quite rubbery. We also had a calamari app, which our friend said, "would be awesome," best he's had, and I tried just one and it was flavorless and gummy. At least my shrimp tasted like shrimp, like they'd been pre-prepared, cooked separate then added to the dish. My mom had fried shrimp and said they were ok, but that her fries were very salty. Personally I wasn't impressed, but I would go back, earlier in the day before the bar patrons show up, and try out something fried from the menu. I wouldn't be surprised if their fried dishes are their best dishes.

The waitress is awesome... So sorry I can't remember her name.. But she knows who she is lol.. Thanks for the amazing service as always... But I think the cook should stay in the back until ALL orders are out, instead of coming out to bar area asking about a side salad then aging about something else before doing our order, it wasn't that busy and the waitress was handling the front all by herself... The food is Great no matter what though.... Prices are reasonable and so is quantity and quality of food and drinks... Columbia River Roadhouse Chinook Washington don't pass by if you do the first time stop by on your way out before leaving Chinook sorry I didn't take the picture before eating half of it before I stopped... Well update... Food is too expensive for what it is... A 16$ hamburger with fries that is a bit to ask and I didn't even get my ranch with it.

Food is descent, steaks were good, deserts were not great (apple pie, meh, berry cobbler is terrible). First time we went service was awful, they messed up most of the orders and didn’t get it right even when they tried to fix it. However, based on other reviews and how the staff handled the problem I don’t think this is the normal mode of operation. i’m not rating them super low like i wanted to. they took 35% off the entire bill and removed some items. and were very concerned over the whole thing. 22 Pinball machines in this place, all well maintained. that gets them a star right there. Overall food is good, (don’t do desert lol) service is a bit slow, atmosphere is good. worth a try if you are in chinook area.
