My husband and I were visiting from out of state when we stumbled upon the most charming afternoon tea house in Port Gamble, WA. We’d only been to afternoon tea once before, and this experience completely impressed us—the cozy ambience, the relaxed vibe, the delicious food, the wonderful service, and the variety of teas featured throughout the service.
As a surprise, my husband booked a candle-making session, which was such a fun addition to the day. Ciera was fantastic at guiding us through the process, and we even enjoyed cocktails while making our candles. The timing worked out perfectly, we were able to pick up our finished candles right after tea. We had been searching for a specific scent and finally found it here: Black Amber Lavender. It smells incredible!
We were especially grateful for Emily, our server, who made the whole experience so memorable. She was attentive, took the time to explain each tier of the tea service, and made us feel genuinely cared for throughout our visit. We especially loved the salmon spread, the starter soup, and the Jasmine green tea—it quickly became our favorite. I also loved that as an option the chef selects the teas to pair with the menu, and the choices were spot-on.
I also have to highlight the décor—it’s stunning. Every corner feels thoughtfully designed with a mix of cozy charm and modern touches. From the elegant table settings to the playful, photo-worthy details, the entire space has such a welcoming and stylish atmosphere. It felt just as much like an experience for the eyes as it was for the taste buds.
I’d highly recommend this spot for afternoon tea. It was such a...
Read moreDahlia Cove was a beautiful place! Took the wife there based in all the positive Google reviews. I had called ahead of time to make reservations for noon. I opted for the 4 course tea experience. I am a man, who knows NOTHING about tea. Emily was super nice and friendly and recommended 3 choices. I went with the vanilla horchata with a little cream and sugar. My wife opted for a rotating tea choices.
Once we did that we were offered soup or salad. We went with the tomato basil soup and it was amazing!
Then we rolled into the savory round of finger foods we had 4 choices. My favorite was the curry chicken salad. My wife-the spinach/mushroom quiche.
Then we rolled into the scone round. We had 2 choices here. Our favorite was the orange/nut scone.
Last we rolled into the dessert round. We were both getting full at this point. We had 3 choices here. But the madeline was my favorite. My wife the chocolate moose.
All in all i was blown away with the quality, the setting, the food, the tea and hospitality and charm. The whole experience was outstanding. Guys if you want to impress your better half and “tea” up an experience that your wife will love. This is it. And yes I loved it too, and i dont drink...
Read moreI rarely take the energy to leave a negative review but I am making an exception. I have been to tea in several states and at least three different countries and this was the worst. The portion sizes were so small I was shocked. What they called a scone was the size of a mini muffin. What would have been a cucumber sandwich was a very small piece of unremarkable toast and two or three thin slices of cucumber. They offered a couple of mouthfuls of what tasted like a supermarket salad with two thin crackers. The crème brûlée could have fit on a soup spoon. The two stars are for the decor and the nice woman running around trying to accommodate everyone. They were noticeably under-staffed, even my children noticed. I was so shocked when the bill came it made my stomach hurt. Very rarely in my entire life have I paid so much for so little. Hopefully this review will help someone save money and go to the general store or...
