Haydee's Restaurant — Restaurant in Washington

For one I use to like this place, the food was fresh my only complaint was it did not have enough seasoning I always had to add my own seasoning to my meal. But lately they are falling off and now I see why the food was missing salt because they put so much of it in the drinks. I ordered a margarita and that thing was a salt bomb!!!!!! Totally undrinkable I felt my blood pressure instantly shoot through the roof in there. But the next time I ordered to go the chicken was soooo hard and dried out the veins in the chicken was very visible, stiff, and black. I immediately took it back without eating any of it, and she had a nerve to have an attitude saying that's how all her chicken is served and then she blame me because I bring it back 30 minutes after I picked it up. The restaurant is good but their club “Ardiente” on Saturdays is terrible. They charge $10 cover, drinks are overpriced, drag shows are honestly the worst in DC and sometimes they don’t even have drag queens but the girl promoters doing a random dance. When they have shows, they are way too long and boring. They don’t allow you to go out briefly, if let’s say you need to go to your car (they will charge you again!). And the Cherry on top is that the music is terrible, the DJ doesn’t even know how to sync the songs well. Was really hoping this neighborhood spot would be good. I have tried the Mount Pleasant location which was good, but after being in Brightwood almost 15 years, it was my first time in this location. It was not family friendly environment with a bar full of profane drunks. The staff was friendly enough but appeared oblivious to the inappropriateness of their sauced patrons until verbally sparring with them. If the food have been great then my elementary school kids dropping an F bomb would have been worth it. Unfortunately all three meals were subpar. Hopefully management can turn this place back into...
