One year ago we held a 70th Birthday party here. We got there and were told we cancelled the reservation which we did not. We verified it a week before. They were not setup for us and took forever to get pizza, salad and soft drinks out to our group of 50+ people. We talked to the manager over the phone from the restaurant and he informed us he was on his way to the hospital in an ambulance and could not do much but he called the employees in charge to let them know what to do. They told us one of our guest cursed at them so they kicked them out before they ever got to room where our party was held. They DID NOT Curse them out so they are lying. We believe the manager was not on his way to the hospital in an ambulance and was trying to cover their screwup. We called him back and complained. The people on duty then told us they would give us a free pizza when we came in again for all of the mix up and confusion. We asked if we need it in writing and they told us it would be in the computer. We spent $819.32 plus the tip on this party. We called today to go back and claim our free pizza and order other items and were told there was no record of this incident. We will never go back to this place again. They lie and then try to cover it up. The food was ok nothing special we even left a tip because it is the right thing to do. And now we are treated like garbage again. I would not recommend this place to anyone even if it was the last place on earth to get a pizza. No integrity, horrible customer service, mediocre food. Stay away from this place. Lots of other places to get the customer service you...

Lovely venue. Had not been here before. Came for the comedy show which was excellent! My companion & I both ordered the lasagna. To be fair, the place was full of customers all placing food & drink orders at about the same time... & I hear it was their first time doing a comedy show so there are kinks to work out. We did get drinks in a timely manner after ordered. My salad came about 5 minutes before his minestrone arrived. The salad was fresh & not over dressed which I appreciated. He said the minestrone was good. & then we waited... a rather long time... half an hour at least before our lasagna arrived. It was probably at least 4 inches tall! & at least 4 inches wide by 4 inches long so was a very generous portion. It had nice flavor. It was only lukewarm however... but neither of us wanted to send it back because we didn't know how long it might take to heat it through.

I would want to try that lasanga again but maybe on a night when it wasn't so very busy. I would come back for another comedy show... but I would order the pizza instead... the ones I saw delivered looked perfectly browned & smelled wonderful.

Kudos to the restaurant for trying something new... if I had received lukewarm lasanga under any other circumstance, I would not give 5 stars. I would suggest either taking it off the event menu or checking internal temperature before serving. The flavor was good. I heard the prime rib was very good in...

Tl;dr - Really, REALLY good pizza.

Maltby Pizza & Pasta deserves to be the "special" pizza that people in Snohomish County get when they decide to splurge. Nearly every element of the pizza is better than average and, combined, they make for a wonderful meal.

I was most impressed with the quality of the toppings. From the crumbled sausage to the Salumi Mole, every topping I tried was significantly better than what's available at other pizza restaurants in the area. Even the cheese (not sure if it was a blend or not) was that smooth and wonderful high-fat cheese that elevates a pizza. I don't know of any place else nearby that still has that.

The sauce isn't particularly notable, but that's all the better for allowing the toppings to come to the forefront. The crust is excellent, with a wonderful crumb and is enhanced with a light dusting of cornmeal (semolina?).

It even reheats well.

Maltby Pizza makes a super-high quality pizza. With that said, it still hurts just a little to spend $30 for a 14" pizza when an $8 version is available a couple of miles away. But here, at least, you truly get what you pay for--a pizza that will have you thinking about it long after you've finished it.

On the Portnoy Scale (everyone knows the rules), this is a solid 8.9. Make Maltby Pizza & Pasta a...

My wife & I lucked out. We were visiting family in Snohomish and it was late (8:30PM) on Tuesday when we left. We had a long drive home. Heading south from Snohomish we pulled into and out of many restaurants. All were closed. :( Super hungry so we searched for "food near me" and Maltby Pizza & Pasta popped up and was open for another hour. We went straight there and was totally shocked and pleasantly surprised on how nice this place was. Amazing food & drink menu/selection. Too much so that we just decided to get a basic pizza and salad so we could get back on the road to go home. The 1/2 Greek salad was impressive. Great flavor and was bigger than expected. Took leftovers home. :) The Maltby Special Brick Oven Pizza was way better than we both expected. My wife doesn't each much pizza but she had a couple pieces that night PLUS she ate 2 more the next day since we had lots left-over. Great service as well. Our server was very helpful answering questions about the menu as well as fast service.

Umm where do I start. I waited 40 minutes for 1 pizza and 1 pasta dish. I also ordered a beer to drink as I waited … it wasn’t busy inside the building (maybe lots of mobile orders?) but I had to ask for my beer 10 minutes after ordering ( I was sitting at the bar top)… the bread (slice) that came with my Pasta dish is ridiculously small… and it was cold. The pizza is a soggy floppy Mess and tasteless- the pasta (meat ravioli) haven’t had yet- but it smells awkward! Spend $60 for this slop, NEVER AGAIN. IM NOT SURE IF THE FOLKS OUT HERE HAVE’NT ACTUALLY HAD A GOOD PIZZA, but this is not it!! Venture out folks, this is gross!! I’d rather spend $60 at Zeeks !!

Clams Linguine. The clams are the star and the linguine is the co-star and should be celebrated. If using canned clams, add the water to the sauce. In this dish, maybe 1 teaspoon of capers. Mine came very overpowering and capers is all I tasted. Also to note, no dinner salad with entree's as a way to save $ I assume sends the message that you are being cheap. Drop the price of your beer, wine and hard alcohol because charging what everyone else charges isn't responsible management.
