Mi Pueblo Real Bar and Grill — Restaurant in Washington

I reserved the party room 6 weeks in advance. I also called two times and on the afternoon of I went in to confirm the reservation. I also asked if there were any other larger parties reserved that would need to be in there also. They stated no. I also informed them that we would be meeting for a work party and do a quick meeting and go over numbers etc and that I would be shutting the doors to the room for about 20 minutes for that as to not disturb other diners. Once myself and my colleuges arrived the staff began pulling tables in the room for other diners. I told the waiter that I had called and came in three other times to confirm it would just be us in the room. As a business owner myself I wouldn't want them to lose business by us taking up half the party room but I was assured each time I called and when I came in we would be alone. 3-4 staff members at seperate times came into tell me I couldn't reserve the room to myself and that it was a misunderstanding each time I called to confirmed this. I told them that this would have been fine to know beforehand but now my event cannot be held with the room full of diners. Another staff member stated...."well we are telling you now!" I asked for the owner they said he "couldn't be reached" but I could write them a letter and they will make sure he gets it!! The staff began to sit another table in the room while there was over half the restaurant empty. Staff was purposely filling the party room rather than the rest of the restaurant. While still waiting for a couple members of our party to arrive the same rude waitress stated "are you people going to order anything because this is soliciting." She stated this in front of other customers as well. Mind you...Our party was full of female business owners and entrepreneurs set on a celebration of our year successes and were excited about Mexican food and endless margaritas. The waiter that was assigned our table would have gone home with a fat stack of tips but the women employees were rude, disrespectful and spiteful and cheated him out of that by how they acted towards us. We decided to head next door to UNC and Nephs were they gladly served us food and kept our drinks full without discrimination or rude comments. Won't be visiting this establishment ever again. And I'm fairly certain when I call the rest of the week I still won't get the...

Well let's start with the 2 orders I placed on the phone....needless to say they did not get the orders correct plus the fact they did not send the entire order home with us. We don't live there so we would have had to go 20 min back to them then 20 min home. By the time all of this would have happened the food would have been cold from the point of the phone order to the time we'd get to eat it would have been over 2 hrs. They only compensation they would offer is a 20 % discount on the 2nd order that would be completely cold by the time we would get to eat it. We will never eat there again . The manager blamed it on her employees. Saying that she has alot of waiters and they don't know anything and its friday night we are busy. Well so is every other resteraunt. the difference is that at other restaurants they would compensate you with something better than 5 bucks off your cold meal. My son had picked up the order and the "guy" read the entire order to him told him what the price was and handed him 2 bags. 1 was just a big bag of chips and salsa. Which by the way is so spicy you can't even eat it. So it will go to the trash. My order was Texas nachos and there was no cheese on it. Just some queso dip on the bottom of the pan. I asked for no gacamola on anything and there it was...a huge spoonful of that crap. All in all we will never order again from them. So here’s the deal. The food was very good. Nothing to complain about there. But the service was not great. I normally NEVER complain about a restaurants service. I don’t know if they were incredibly short handed or just negligent. It took us 30 mins to even get asked if we were ready to order. The table next to us arrived and had to ASK for their chips and salsa, because the waitress forgot. And our tables had the same waitress. They had to ask for their chips and salsa twice. We finally order and wait 45 mins for our food (which is not a big deal, that’s normal) but when it gets to us my wife’s order was COMPLETELY wrong. She ordered nachos and they brought her an enchilada. Turns out they gave her food to the wrong table! Like come on. So then I had enough time to eat my entire meal before my wife finally got hers. I didn’t even get my sides for 15 mins after I got my main meal. Which included my tortillas so I couldn’t even start eating when they brought my food. The waitress was very nice and took my wife’s meal off our check. Overall it was great food, but the service made the experience not worth it because I couldn’t even eat with my wife.
