Hawkeye Motel — Hotel in Washington

We requested a 2 bed room..they told us that if we would take a one bed that the next day they would move us ..please note my traveling companion is in a wheelchair and we were told the room was set up for handicapped..the room was not even close to handicap and they said we would have to wait till the next day..they charged us 75 for a 2 bed but it was only one bed and asked for deposit which we paid ..the next day they told us we misunderstood and would not be moved they refused to refund us or give us back our deposit said we had smoked in the room cause we had half cigars which we had half smoked and brought back in to save for later..they said no tobacco should be in the rooms even in an unopen pack and made racist remarks about my African American traveling companion in the wheelchair in regards to he was using Blondie cigars and black and milds to smoke pot cause that's what those kind of people do.we had to call the police and make a report and are filing a lawsuit .. the little guy had the nerve to get in my face threatened me with a gun ...scared little man ! Worst...

I didnt end up staying here. They do have the cheapest rates. However with the taxes early check in fees 50.00 deposit for incidentals it was just too steep. I ended up going down the street was charged 75.00 plus 9% tax. Checked in at 1030am was not charged early checkin or 50.00 fee. It ended up being a better bargain. When i asked how the room was 168.00 4 two nights b4 adding the 50.00 incidentals fee. And only charging 15.00 for early checkin. So 218.00 is not the cheapest intown. Im not saying your rooms arent nice. Im sure they are. I was planning on being a returning customer but your fees seemed more important than earning a loyal customer. There had to be more than just the 9% state tax involved in my fees if room rates were said amt. That would have made taxes 38.00. Thats why i initially stated the taxes were too high....

Quite a surprising little gem in the country! I was terribly sick and riding with my husband and brother from Mn to Ga. We had no choice but to stop here and I am so very glad we did! The staff was extremely friendly and caring. They made sure I had water bottles and some Sprite to settle my stomach. The parking lot was well lit and clean with parking right outside the rooms. We had a truck bed full of our belongings in small boxes uncovered all night and we felt comfortable leaving the truck where it was because it’s so peaceful and well kept there. The rooms are very clean. The bed was comfortable and the room was a good temperature. The bathroom fan was loud if you turn it on but I think that’s a plus when you want some bathroom privacy in a single room. I was too sick at three time to take photos but I would absolutely stay...
