Went to the kingston one last night (1-7-2024 @8 p.m.) Not many customers but the servers as good until just about the end. The food unfortunately was not. There were 5 of us. I ordered the steak fajita (medium and sizzling). It came out very well done with not much vegetables or meat. I ask the server if this is what they considered was medium. She said no and took my whole plate and skillet and told me they would fix it. Less then 10 min later she brought back the skillet witch was no longer sizzling and put it in front of me. It looked like the same over cooked meat. I looked at the waitress and she said, when I cut the meat it will be pink then she left. I cut the meat and not to my surprise it was still very well done. Since the waitress left and and it was a very long day and I was hungry and tired, I stated, "o well and started to eat my steak fajita anyways. When I made my tacos, my rice and beans were cold, my steak was over done and very cold. Only thing that was warm was the very small amount of vegetables on the skillet. When the waitress finally showed back up, she asked me how the food wa, I told her about how the food was cold and still way over cooked. She started arguing with me telling me that the cooks in back told her that they made a new steak on the grill (in less then 10 minutes) even though it look exactly like the first one they brought out. She did not apologize and instead continued to argue. I told her I was not mad at her because she was not the cook. I then told her to get my bill and we will just leave. She did not offer a discount or offer us to talk to the manager. This was just my experience everyone else in our group also stated the food was cold like it has been setting all day under a heater. We paid and left. Unfortunately I will...
Read moremy husband and i went on August 1 to our local restaurant. we wanted to share a margarita but upgrade from the house tequila. the server did not know where the list of tequilas were and did not know the option was listed on the menu. he went to find his boss. another server came with the list from the bar. the first server came back and said he recommended a Don Julio 1942. he said "it is the one HE would choose to drink". He said, Is okay if it is a little bit more money?" we said yes because we knew it wasn't the house tequila. neither of us consume alcohol except rarely. we shared an entree, we are on a limited income. when the bill came, imagine my shock when one 16 oz margarita was $28! The kid fleeced us like we were tourists. They lost our recommendation, they lost our business. i am sure our young server does NOT drink $145 bottles of tequila on his night off. i trusted the staff at our local restaurant to make good recommendations. We will not go there again. so your $28 bit of bait and switch cost you our monthly outing for the nxt ten years. Hope it...
Read moreBeen coming here for years. Food is usually good, waitstaff is better than average, but management is terrible. Recently I went in and ordered the Molcajete bowl with my S.O. Got to the bottom of the bowl and found a plastic bread bag clip in my mouth. When confronted, the waitstaff told me it was a clip from their tortilla bag, and shrugged it off like no big deal. No offer for compensation or anything. The last time I went in (this past weekend), they charged my credit card twice for the same meal. I've been back two times now over this and the manager says the bank only put a hold on the card and that the funds would be returned. That was a week ago. He is wrong and refuses to help me. I've been eating here for over 20 years, am a regular customer, and will never go back again. The management has no interest in taking care of their customers. I've contacted my bank and will be waiting for them to correct Puerto Vallarta's mistake in charging me twice for the same meal. Shameful that they don't care about their customers. I'll...
