Steamboat Grill & Greens — Restaurant in Washington

This is the little local "burger" stand in our community and what a great little place to have in the neighborhood. In the last few years they have changed the menu up to include many more healthy options and specials of the day that you can see on the advertisement board from the main road. I believe there was a change in ownership in the last couple years that corresponded with the change. I have had lots of great tasting items from here. Yummy wraps and great soups on the specials..... a Thai soup I recall being very good! Salads and healthy options too. This visit I had the crispy cod sandwich and wasn't as happy as usual with my choice.... my fault as I forgot to hold the sauce and I do not like fish sauces. Most burgers etc are sold separate from fries so a full meal can get pricey, but the quantity is good for the money. Milkshakes are REALLY good! This is a drive up style place, but they make everything fresh so you will wait a little while. We will keep visiting this great local establishment and encourage people to stop and give it a try if...

With a name change and new ownership, Steamboat Annie's has both become Steamboat Grill & Greens and has come to challenge our notions of what's possible from a roadside drive-through. While they continue to offer really good burgers and a wide choice of milkshakes, they've added soups, salads, daily specials, and more to a diverse menu that will make you forget there aren't many sit-down restaurants around the Steamboat Peninsula. Xinh's egg rolls, too, from a recipe by XInh Dwelley, of the famous Xinh's Clam & Oyster House, are not to be missed. If you haven't visited Steamboat Grill & Greens, you're missing out on what is, by any measure, a fine meal. My five stars are because their food is very good. My family are steamboat locals and have been ardent fans of the food and service at Annie’s for years!! This is one of the best burgers in the state! Milkshakes and fries are always perfect. Can’t say enough good things about this place; it exactly what it should be and better!

So why 3 stars? Since the pandemic, we have had several visits where my wife and I have had to leave because of the lack of mask wearing; it’s been hit and miss. During our last visit the young woman taking orders was not wearing a mask, and when we asked why, she told us, “sometimes we do, sometimes we don’t.” While she did offer to put one on, the trust was already lost and we left. Your customers want to support your business during this time, but it’s hard when the business Is not taking the precautions to keep customers safe.
