I've been spending my free time on lake Goodwin for the better half of 5 years always getting food at the paddle pub take out or dine In and I've never had any complaints with there food but there service I can't say the same i went there last night with my friends after a lake day we sat In the bar as the dinning room was closed witch shouldnt be a problem because all my friends are in there 30s and I am 21 years old the youngest and apon are waitress arriving at the table is we're everything went south I was told to leave because my ID is vertical witch last time I checked is still a valid ID but in stead of having a conversation and coming to a solution we were extremely mistreated by a very disrespectful waitress and we were told we snuck in when the workers held the door open for us and then they said they don't recognize us and kicked us out after we explained all we wanted was a couple of waters and some nachos and didn't want any alcoholic beverages and what really tipped me over the edge was the fact that I can't even count the amount of times I've sat at the bar and been served beer and shots with my vertical ID senec I turned 21 in December and i undertand there's rules and plan on getting a horizontal ID but that dosent excuse the poor behavior towards me and my friends that were being totally compliant and respectful it's really sad to see what once was one of our favorite places ran to the ground by terrible service and as of now I don't see me or any of my friends going back and I will make sure to spread the word of the service to...

Update to review, March 2024 - Ever since Covid, Paddle Pub has gone downhill. Every time we decide to try it again, it's even worse than the time before. This time is most likely our last, sadly. We ordered online & picked up dinner on Friday. My experience inside wasn't amazing, but the bar was packed so that's kind of understandable. However, when we got home 15 minutes later, we opened up our food and were very disappointed. My fish & chips was $19 for two pieces and a small pile of fries (there were a couple uncooked fries mixed in) and they didn't even give me any tartar so I couldn't really eat my fish, I choked down one piece but the other was wasted. My husbands blue cheese burger was $15 and tiny. Like the size of a McD's cheeseburger. They didn't put his bacon on it, and there was something seriously wrong with his grilled onions. A couple of the pieces were black, but not like burnt black, like funky black.. Our friend said his Pb&j burger tasted good at least. But after tip and everything, it was almost $70. I would've rather gone to Mcdonalds at that point. I understand everything is more expensive now...but seriously. What a disappointment, especially because they used to be one of our favorite places to eat and hang out.

Posted 5 years ago, 2019 - Great food and drinks. Love coming here to hang out with friends and play some pool. I definitely recommend trying their pizza,...

Went in last nite for prime rib.Ordered an end cut.It was so tough and dry.The potato was cold.waitress asked if we would like everything on our potato, and we said yes.i told the waitress the meat was tough and dry.She said she would let them know.Only had four bites of my prime rib.Got our bill and they charged us an extra 8 dollars for some sour cream, bacon and cheese.waitress did not tell us it would be an extra charge. Especially not 8 dollars. Talked to a blonde haired man behind the bar and he was totally rude to me .I told him my prime rib was tough and dry.He then me that's why I never order an end cut, because it's always dry.I beg to differ. If I cook it properly end cuts are tasty and moist. He was arguing with me that they are always dry.I could not believe his attitude. He did take the 8 dollar charge off the bill for the potato. He brought the check to our table, and said to me I could of been nicer and turned his back and walked away.REALLY! What ever happened to customer service? I wasn't trying to get my meal free, just letting them know.We go in once a week, but no more. Its not that hard to keep your customers happy.I was ready to overlook the prime rib, but his...

The food is very good and the portion sizes are definitely generous. The Eggs Benedict had great flavor, could have used another piece of Canadian Bacon but otherwise very good. The home style hash browns also had great flavor, some of the smaller pieces were all crunch but better than soggy ones you find at other places. The biscuits and gravy were very good and both the gravy and biscuits had great flavor. The coffee was pretty basic, no Splenda just sugar and sweet and low which aren't my favorite. Service could have been a bit faster, we waited several minutes for refills on coffee and water, we also had to go inside to pay as the waitress hadn't checked on us in ten plus minutes and we had to leave. Overall we will definitely go again, just don't plan on a quick trip and make sure you have some time to spare.

I feel cheated and robbed. I’d really like to hear from the manager/owner regarding the $24 martini they are charging for. A martini is already a double (3 ounces) so why are you charging ā€œdoubleā€ and THEN an additional ā€œmartiniā€ charge? Why is there then a THIRD charge for a service charge? This is a dive bar in STANWOOD, not an upscale place in the city. On top of that, the bartender made my martini with vermouth when I requested none, so it was hard to drink. This place was recommended and I’m so disappointed. The wedge salad was delicious, but the small amount of chicken was a bummer, $7 for like 4 ounces. Weak!! The pizza was gross, the sauce was too sweet and obviously nothing was homemade. I will say the ā€œhouse sauceā€ for dipping waffle fries into was really good.

That door swings open, and the baseline thumps your thorax, then seventeen screens, pierce every game imaginable in your eyes. A big blackboard lets you know it is Wednesday, and the special is spaghetti. Bar stools warmed by the ample butts that piloted those duleys out in the generous gravel lot tell you in every way THIS IS AMERICA SETH! A young woman with a dismissive look that lets you know she's had better asks you for a choice of drinks. The food arrives quickly (so order drinks first), and it's better than expected. Someone is paying attention to the customer experience and studies pub food recipes down to fine detail. Aspiring cooks could pick up a tip or two from eating here.
