Watson's Alpenhorn Cafe — Restaurant in Washington

I have come every year for the past five ish years. Normally I love it, but this year was the worst experience I have ever had. My friend and I had to go up and make my order, three times. I work in food and know how this all works, and I also know that that is unacceptable. When I finally got my food, it wasn't even all there. The chicken tenders I ordered didn't have the coleslaw that was advertised with it. The fries were overcooked and under seasoned. The chicken was lackluster too. The people I were with also didn't particularly enjoy what they got for the same sorts of reasons. can it be that alpenhorn has terrific shakes, although they discontinued, my favorite peach shake, and some of the worst hamburgers I've ever tasted in a fast food restaurant? I was further insulted by the high price and low level customer service. Apparently, they hire teenagers without any training. I never did see a manager or anyone in charge as the kids behind the glass messed up our order. And then failed to tell us when it was ready. Loved the atmosphere! One of the best we've experienced in Chelan. Good food and it's reasonable priced. Also, the putt-putt course is a fun bonus! 😀 Will definitely come back. I believe a lot of the negative comments are due to people just not understanding how hard it is to run a little restaurant in the woods and find good employees for a seasonal business.
