Brown’s Irish Pub — Restaurant in Waterbury

I visited this bar for St. Patrick’s Day weekend, and while I expected it to be busy, I wasn’t prepared for how disappointing the experience would be.

There were six of us, and we ordered food shortly after sitting down. It took about an hour even for our meals to arrive. The beef tips we ordered were cold, the corned beef was extremely fatty, and my corned beef sandwich had soggy bread, clearly from sitting out too long.

I politely mentioned to the waiter that I wasn’t trying to be difficult, but one of my friends had ordered steak tips, and her mashed potatoes were ice cold while the steak itself was tough. I asked if they could take it off the bill, but the waiter claimed the manager said, “She ate too much of the plate,” which was completely false. I then asked to speak with the manager directly, but they never bothered to come over.

The poor customer service topped off an already disappointing meal. I understand busy nights can be tough, but this was unacceptable. I wouldn’t recommend this place based on...

What a beautiful experience I had ordering my dinner last night! I called in my order and the order taker Alexis made it so easy to do so. She knew the menu and gave me options I didn't even know I had. She was thorough and patient as it was my first time eating/ordering from here. When I arrived to pick up my order, everything was hot and ready. She was very friendly and warmly welcomed me back. Brown's Irish Pub catered our event for over 400 people at Holy Cross High School, and the food was absolutely fantastic! The menu included brisket, baked beans, potato salad, coleslaw, cavatelli & broccoli, sausage and peppers, salad, and cornbread — every single dish was delicious and perfectly prepared.
