Absolutely loved dining here. The food is incredible- though, I have certain enzymes that make cilantro taste like soap, I didn't mind it too much here. I usually abhor it, but the flavor of the rest of the food more than compensated. My girlfriend dislikes cilantro, in spite of not having the same built-in (genetic, look it up- it's a real thing with a few sifferent foods). Both of us loved the food here even though we didn't expect as much cilantro on our food as there was. The portion sizes and friendliness of the staff are also fantastic. It's not inexpensive- typically about $14 on average per dish- but the authentic flavor and recipes are more than worth it. I've never even considered Mexican when thinking about my favorite types of foods, but I am for sure gonna return here fairly often. Next time, I'll just ask for no cilantro. All in all, I'm extremely happy with my visit.
I cannot recommend highly enough the steak sizzling fajitas, coming in at $12.99. They're...
Read moreMy first time there, since I usually go to Trini and Carmen's for the nacho. I sat at the bar and the bartender was nice, but she was also waiting on tables. My margarita on the rocks was ok but could have used a little more kick. The chips and house made salsas were very fresh and tasty. I ordered the Cielo Mary Tierra, which was steak, chicken breast, and shrimp along with beans, rice, and tortillas. The steak was a little tough, but it was ok. Not a mind blowing meal at all. And then the bartender chose to laugh and chat with the gentleman on the other end of the bar without really checking on me to see if I needed anything else. I may give it another try some other time, but the next time I'll be going to Trini and Carmen's...
Read moreThis was my first time back since the pandemic. Not sure if that's what has effected the quality, however, our food was old, cold and awful. The rice was broken into tiny pieces and sticky like it has been reheated 30 times. The shrimp were so over cooked we couldn't peel them. The fajitas were flavorless. They were also not busy at all. Only 2 tables. The plastic cups were chipped at the top and it looked like there could be residue building in between the cracks. Possibly mold.... My friends food was just as bad as mine. I will not be back. It's only a matter of time before this establishment is shut down. PS. also my steak fajitas had a little bit of steak and a lot of fat chunks. Disappointing is an...
