Sweet T's Ice Cream — Restaurant in Waterford Township

Let me start by saying that the 4 stars is mostly for the ice cream. The ice cream has a really good flavor and their banana split toppings were great. We have been back a couple of times already because we find the ice cream is a much better flavor and consistency than what Dairy Queen is making nowadays with their "frozen treats" that are technically not ice cream.

I have to knock down this place for their coffee though, it was really not great. My mocha tasted like it was 95% milk and barely resembled coffee. The espresso milkshake is very sweet, kind of reminded us of a sweeter jamocha shake from Arby's. While it was tasty, it wasn't the espresso pick me up we were looking for. Being that they are often advertising their coffee, we thought we might have found a new coffee stop, but we'll definitely keep coming for the ice...

I decide to come based on the preview reviews, it was my boys birthday, well first they took foreeeveeeer, like 30 min under the son waiting, second my afogato didn’t have the expreso or the chocolate, they could’ve said that when I placed the order, so basically I had a coffee water ice cream, then they where helping only drive thru and then when there no more cars they started my order, ah but when you place the order is “do you want to put a tip on the card”, and the flavor is just ok, don’t waste your...

They ask you for a tip before they present you with the item and service in which the tip would be based upon. Which is absurd. What's also absurd is tipping people who work at ice cream places. But in this case, it makes you wonder if it's just coincidental that your tornado seems like a milky mess, poorly mixed, with the lid not attached. Or maybe an extra buck to the child behind the counter would have solved this. I don't know. But I do know I don't leave dairy queen with that...
