Iām a regular there. I order the same order at least twice a week. Not exaggerating. Mine is the cheese omelette extra chz and extra egg crispy hash browns. My wife grill onion omelette and crispy hash browns. This has been like this For the last couple yrs. Never had any issue, and I always offer to pay for anything I add.
Like today. I was suppose to be at wrk I left early and went to pick up food for us, but My wife had a coupon online and put an order in online, where there isnāt any option for their grill onion omelette, so she wrote in the notes to add grill onion too her chz omelette, as well as crisp the hash browns. My wife ordered as I arrived so I was even able too catch the servers and NORA the owner, as they read my wifeās order, I even caught them before they put my wifeās order up too be made. So I clarified and told them she wanted the onion in the omelette and Nora made me pay about 2$ for a scoop of grill onions in my wifeās omelette, that didnāt come in the omelette. I was assured they understood what she wanted, I even paid cash for those onions when I ordered and paid for my food.
So when I get home and she opened her food, they had put literally a scoop of onion on her hash browns and thatās it. Nothing inside omelette. Keep in mind I paid cash for those onions before they made it, I spoke to the servers and the owner explaining how she wanted it since she had to write in the notes and that can be confused at times, I just wanted to make sure we were on same Page. Instead I caught attitude from the taller lady server and NOra knows us and our order how did this get messed up? No biggie I thght, since the only other time something like this happened they took care of me. Now keep in mind I went back on my bank statement and last month alone we spent just over $200 there. So we get their food a lot.
So I call and explain the situation to the server who I could hear talking about my issue in a very condescending manner, they canāt even get Nora to get on the phone. I was told that due to how it was written in the notes they wonāt help me or do anything. That we have to contact doordash. Even though I paid for those onions cash. EVEN though I was ASSURED BY ALL THREE OF THEM THAT THEY GOT WHAT WE WANTED DUE TO THEM NOT HAVING CORRECT MENU online, itās almost like she was short with me cuz I laid out what we wanted like four times. ALSO HOW IS EXTRA EGG or CHEESE ONLY $1 EACH BUT ONIONS WERE $2 and change???!
Now Our normal server wasnāt there, who usually handles our take outs, the server the tall lady was rude and acted like I was pushing to hard when I was making sure they made my wifeās food right. They were pushy for some odd reason. Well they didnāt understand, I should have recorded the whole thing. So Instead of Nora the owner I get the tall server with a poor ātude Telling me I was SOL. They wonāt help me. AND IM A KNOWN REGULAR.
I WILL NEVER EVER EVER GO BACK AGAIN. IVE BEEN IN FULL SERVICE RESTAURANT MANAGEMENT myself FOR YEARS. I WAS A GM AT JOHNNY ROCKETS, Bar manager at max and Ermaās, server manager at red Robin, etc. I know food service and I know how to run a good restaurant.
