We stopped by for lunch on a weekday and it was deserted. The place had a funky old food combined with musty, damp basement smell and it was oddly dark inside. There is a counter where you order food and then they'll bring it out to you. The woman working wasn't friendly and did not seem to care much about customer service. Our food did come out quick but it was pretty generic. We got the Happy Family and the coconut chicken. The beef in the Happy Family did not taste fresh, but the chicken and shrimp were fine. The sauce had a bit too much cornstarch so it was a bit clumpy and flavor was like any other generic Americanized Chinese food. It came with a side of white rice and it was very disappointing white rice. It smelled a bit sour, like it was from the day before. Again, definitely not fresh. The coconut shrimp had a nice crunch and sugary coconut sauce. It was good, not great. Not sure it was worth the $25 for...
Read moreVery disappointed at the lack on customer service. Called for takeout and was told that the food would be an hour which is fine. Showed up an hour later and the restaurant had 8 people in front of me. At no point were any of us asked about our order to check the status or allowed to ask about our food at the front counter the staff remained back in the kitchen. About every five minutes a lady would come out and call out an order. After each person ahead of me got their food and left I was asked what I ordered. I was told that someone ahead of me had taken our food. I told her no when asked if I wanted to wait for them to make it as it had already been forty minutes waiting in the restaurant and I didn't want to wait any longer. I will not be going back which is a shame with the lack of good Chinese food places in the area, B1 is the only one I have found that serves...
Read moreUse to stop in here every other weekend during catfish season until the city didn't want us in there park past 10 pm. It was our go to before we setup for night fishing. The food is very good with excellent service. The portions are quite a bit of food and the wontons are the best out of any Chinese restaurant. I still do go there but not as much since it's out of my neighborhood. And the other thing I love about them they are not checking on you every minute. They leave you alone to eat. I'm an adult, if I need something I get up and ask them. They have five tables and everything you buy they bring out to you. But they don't refill 12oz pop cans so what could they possibly...
