Golden Spoon Cafe — Restaurant in Watertown

OK, it’s time for my review of this establishment. As you can see, I gave it 5⭐️s across the board. Deservingly so. I have now visited this restaurant seven times since June 20, 2025. I have nothing but praise for the entire staff at this restaurant. As I told one of the servers after one of my meals, “Good eats! Good people! Great atmosphere!” my first visit I had the prime rib sandwich, second visit I had the pan fried walleye, next visit was the beer battered walleye, next was the chicken Parmesan with the spaghetti and meat sauce, then I tried the biscuits and gravy with chicken fried steak, next was the liver and onions, and this morning I had the biscuits and gravy with chicken fried steak again. Watertown: we have a family restaurant, something not in a bar! From the savory, homemade chicken dumpling soup, to the sweet creamy coleslaw, my 3 piece fish fry dinner was wonderful! The portions were beyond generous (I'm ordering the 2 pc next time!) The fish was battered just right, not too heavy- not greasy! The cod was meaty and tender. Everything is homemade and real, no margarine or processed short cuts here. This is the nice family restaurant you want to eat at when you need the night off from cooking but still want a good meal. I had the country fried steak, which came with hashbrowns, pancakes, and two eggs. Definitely a hearty meal and appreciated the decent pricing. The decor was nice and simple and I was very impressed with the waitress and her continuing to check up on us and get refills and make sure we had a good time. At one point, we said something wrong and she didn’t quite realize it and then another time she said something wrong and we didn’t quite realize it but both times, she gave us the benefit of the doubt and laughed it off and then when we all realized what we weren’t understanding, we realize she was very gracious and humble.
