Read moreSince my original review was strangely edited let s start again-this is my first and only poor restaurant review. 7 pm on a Friday night. Only 2 tables having dinner. Restaurant and bar were a long way from filled. 4 out of 6 of our guests did not get their initial dinner order. No chowder. No lobster roll. Scallops crossed off the menu. They forgot our Mac and cheese. If you have a limited seafood menu you should have on hand what is on your menu. Hamburgers were not what we were there for and disappointing. Ladies-No Chardonnay or Pinot Grigio BY THE GLASS on the menu. I stand by that. Recommendation of alternative wine was not good. Waitress offered horseradish for oysters but did not inform of extra cost? Ie. Chipotle has guacamole on their menu but reminds you itâs extra because the extra cost can be missed. How many of us have been to a restaurant that was having an off night but the manager came to your table and made it right? I had called ahead to arrange a birthday desert and it was a special night. Waitress acknowledged that manager/ owner was aware of our disappointment but he declined to talk to us. Not so much as a complimentary desertâŚWe are not difficult people but when you offer a limited seafood menu you should be able to deliver on that. I stand by our poor experience and you don t need to suggest we not come back as that will not...
Read moreI virtually never write reviews but our experience tonight was so bad, I think I need to warn others. My husband never got his drink in 45 minutes despite repeated promises. He was eventually served water from the tap instead. Had a horrible taste. My drink (cranberry juice) took 30 minutes to arrive. I had actually ordered a tropical mocktail, which our waitress assured us would be not be a problem. What I got was cranberry juice mixed with seltzer water. You would think that a cocktail bar would make sure you get your drinks in a timely manner. So you have time to order more while you are still there. After all, that is how you make your money. The good service was also terrible. Our appetizer arrived after 30 minutes without cutlery. It was the smoked salmon dip, which had the cheap saltine crackers you find at Aldi on the side. My main meal (the cornbread oysters) also were served without cutlery. They tasted bland. My husbands soup tasted like it was reheated from a carton. But at least he got a spoon. We will...
