Had to wait quite a while until someone showed up. I get it was busy. I ordered a medium pizza with 2 ingredients AND extra sauce. Nothing I hate worse than a dry pizza which is just what I got. Some sauce along the edges and nothing on the rest of the pizza. I peeled away the topping and saw no sauce. I hate to think what it would have been if I didn't order extra sauce. So I didn't get sauce nor did I get extra sauce. And to add insult to injury I was charged $2.50 for it. We had to leave and get our food to go as it was so LOUD in there. The guy on the microphone so loud couldn't understand what he was talking about and the intermittent music, the yelling, and kids screaming was just too much. For a small venue, the noise level was unacceptable. Not necessary to have everything blasting in such a small area. It ruins a good time out. Been going to Twigs when Mike and Liz had the place and never had such chaos there. My son could hardly tolerate the noise and suggested we just leave with our food and eat at home where it is much quieter. I readily agreed. Got headaches. We don't get to see each other much and I was so looking forward to a pleasant meal with my son at a favorite pizza place. A huge disappointment and not likely to come back...
Read moreJJ Twigs is great family dining. As far as pizza goes, they have some of the best pizza tastes and options available of pizza places around. And their selection of foods aside from pizza is very accommodating and tasty for those not wanting pizza. They are fairly priced and provide appropriate portions. Myself and friends are weekly patrons. Their dining room accommodates family dining while they also have a bar area as well. Both the dining and bar areas have ample flat screen TVs where sports and other televised events are almost always displayed. And during the summer months, they have an outdoor bar/dining area near sand volleyball courts. They also run volleyball leagues and events. One of the few places with adequate parking. They also have one of the largest delivery areas I know of. As with all family restaurants, dining during peak hours can be hectic and wait times can grow. Also, they have peanuts in small buckets at all tables, so families with nut and peanut allergy considerations should know that it might be best to order take out or delivery. All that being said, Twig's is one of my personal favorite dining experiences. I highly recommend trying it at least once as I consider their pizza some of the...
Read moreI moved away for a few years and came back to town. I found the place was sold and under new management. Pizza can be pretty good one day and the same exact order can be really bad the next. Guess it depends on who makes it.
The past year the place started changing menu items and prices. Over priced for what it is. Sandwiches do NOT come with fries like any other food place in the area. They will ask you what kind of fries you want, but do not tell you its an extra 3 bucks.
The service is horrible. The managers can be downright rude if you complain. The one is a bit rude of a girl with black hair and the other one claims he is related to the owner. Big deal if you have no skills with your customers.
They used to have lots of nice specials but pretty much ended them all except the Saturday pizza special. No other item in the place is noteworthy but the pricing certainly is. We used to go there at least once per month but they cannot even hire a decent bartender. The old twiggs was MUCH better, the newer one isn't much to rave about. We eneded up going down the road to the Original Twiggs now even though its a few miles away...
