4/5/2025 husband went in around 8:15ish another family was there that was kind enough to let him go first since they were still deciding. He ordered my banana split and started to say he also wanted a malt. The girl very rudely snapped at him and said let me make one item at a time. It wasn't the problem that she wanted to make one item at a time It was the way that she spoke. And seriously if you can't remember two items I'm not quite sure that the service industry is right for you. She was very rude the entire interaction. The medium malt was the smallest shake that I've ever seen and the banana split was just okay. They were pretty stingy with the ice cream. There were no lids for the shakes I have no idea where the straws were I asked but I didn't get an answer. There was also no lid or spoon for the banana split. Now the spoons and straws may have been sitting out somewhere but when I asked and got no answer I wasn't going to wait around and try to figure it out. I try to support small business and I literally live walking distance so I really wanted to like this place but this is not the first time that the staff has been rude. We tried this ice cream shop last summer and it was almost like it was an inconvenience that we came in for ice cream this was our second chance we were giving them. Next time I will sit in the crazy long line at Dairy Queen. The line is obviously long...

fun and locally owned shop that is tucked away inside old Waukee instead of out on Hickman. The store is exceptionally clean and there is a friendly owner and staff but maybe there needs to be more training...we ordered a caramel pecan sundae and the employee filled the cup with too much ice cream so there was no room for the toppings and we watched as they struggled to put just a touch of store bought caramel and a few nuts on top...I wish that he would have used a bigger cup or simply started over. The ice cream was good but without much to go with it, it was disappointing and what do you? go back in and ask for toppings in a separate cup?
