Par4 Bistro at Par4 Resort — Restaurant in Waupaca

I would NOT have your wedding here!! As a soon to be bride and groom you don't know anything about wedding planning, right? The event coordinators are suppose to inform and guide you, right? Not at the Waupaca Ale House. They are only concerned about your check book and clocking out at the end of the day. We got multiple price quotes and different information from different workers because they are not consistent nor organized. They have a high turnover with poor communication where information gets lost. They will say one thing and then go back on their word the next week. If you still want to check them out make sure you get everything they say in writing and signatures! Triple check their contract because it is severely poorly written and missing content that should be in there. The contract and receipt will not add up correctly because they have no idea how to quote properly with consistent numbers. The contract will say one price and the receipt will say another which results in confusion! The event coordinators will then come back and say a whole different quote that is all over the board. I hope they re-evaluate their contract and train their coordinators together so they are on the same page because right now they defiantly are not! This venue has been nothing but terrible to work with. We backed out because they are so unreasonable, unorganized, unprofessional, and overall not knowledgeable about their business. Luckily there are better venues in the area that have accommodated us 100x better than Waupaca Ale House. If I could do a negative star...

My daughter got married there yesterday, where do I start....service was supposed to be outside that was about 3 to 4 city blocks away that people had to walk to. it started to rain so it canceled and they made everyone go inside. We had over 200 people at the ceremony and they only set up 66 chairs and we were told that there was going to be enough seating for everyone so people had to stand in a crowded room. The efficient made rude comments throughout the whole wedding. They were so short staffed. We had to wait 20 minutes for a drink and they ran out of most of beer. Now onto the food. The food was supposed to be served to us and there wasn't any servers. They didn't make an announcement of how people should go get food. When people got up to eat they were screamed at and many people left because of the staff. We didn't have any dressing for the salads until about 45 minutes after we got the salad. The chicken was bloody raw and we have proof. After eating, they only had a 2 people cleaning tables and they were taking so long that the guests had to help put them away. The bartender in main bar at one point rudely screamed at every customer at once because they couldn't handle stocking and keeping up. For 12,000.00 spent they certainly didn't even get half there moneys worth, and not 1 offer on a partial refund. Called ahead and made a reservation for Saturday evening. When we arrived we were told the dining room was full but we could sit in the bar area. Planner was sitting in plain sight at the receptionist, I was the ONLY one that had made a reservation but we didn't get the dining room. Seated in the bar area, very noisy and only got ten times worse after a wedding party got to the bar. Food was mediocre, my friends slice of meatloaf was ridiculously small (like a kids portion) and looked unappetizing. Wife and I ordered the prime rib steaks medium rare. When we received them almost an hour later they were medium well. We never received the salads that were supposed to come with the meal. My wife had potato soup as one of her sides, I literally believe it was watered down mashed potatoes. That is what it looked and tasted like. Service was extremely slow and poor. The waitress did apologize and informed us that they were understaffed. Bar area became so loud we couldn't hear each other speak at our table. From the reviews I saw I expected a pleasant experience but we are highly disappointed. We likely won't bother returning to give them...
