The Hut Drive In — Restaurant in Waupaca

Been eating here for a while and let me give you an HONEST review and not be biased because obviously the 5 star rating that it currently holds are reviews from mostly friends and family. I give this place 3 stars based on fair pricing and slow but friendly servers. Ok,so... the grease should be changed more often The food is extremely bland. Like,no matter what I order, it all taste pretty bland. I'd also like to know if everything is fried in the same greasy, I suspect so, but I could be wrong. They should update their menu and at least sprinkle some seasoning on their burgers. The best sandwich they have is the ham&cheese and that's probably because the pork makes it's own slat seasoning as it cooks. The Hut isn't the worst place to eat in paca and definitely wouldn't be my 1st choice. Want a real burger,head on over to Culver's. And no I dont work at culvers. This is an honest opinion. Hope it helps anyone that hasn't had the hut yet or any passer byers that are looking for a bite to eat at a local joint.

It's been years since my wife and I have stopped by The Hut for lunch, but we use to frequent the place a couple of times each summer.

After placing our order, we sat back and watched people pull into the parking lot and place their orders. One after the other people kept pulling in.

We ate (tried to eat) at one of the dirty picnic tables alongside the building, but when order numbers were called, screamed is more like it, over the loud speaker, the deafening sound jolted your whole body.

The Hut's food quality has taken a huge turn for the worst. This place was never known for the size of burger or the amount of food you received, but it use to be really inexpensive.

These days you are met at the walk-up window with the same unwelcoming faces, served sub par food, for way more than it's worth. For the life of me, I can't figure out what draws people to this place anymore.

I've been going here since I was a kid & have always loved the place tje food is good & cheap. But the service is really going down hill horribly. My daughter & I wanted dinner from here today so I called on my way to the ATM (cash only)because i knew they were closing in 30 mins & I wanted to place our order but no 1 answered the 7 times I called. I got to the counter to order my food at 5:11 and she ignored me & put the closed sign up and walked away and began cooking. It says open till 5:30! Does that not mean open till 5:30! There was about 8 other people there who were waiting on food. That does not mean ignore paying customers because you do not wana cook anymore! Lazy! Completly lazy!
