Well, my friend told me he had found the "Best Thai food, ever", so my wife and I decided to test his claim. So, date night rolls around, and we abandon our usual Thai restaurant. We make the drive to the booming metropolis that is Waverly Hall, in search of Tina's Kitchen. When we arrived, we were greeted by James, Tina's husband. An awesome front man, with a million dollar smile, and the manner to go with it. We instantly felt at home, and commenced to making the gigantic order that would change our lives. We tried the works, and let me tell you, it didn't disappoint. Everything is super fresh, and flavorful, from the fresh rolls all the way through to the sticky rice and mango. You can taste the love that Tina puts into her food, in every bite! I love spicy Thai, and buddy, let me tell you, Tina's homemade Thai chili oil set the new bar. I haphazardly poured the whole tiny cup on my Drunken Noodles, and by the time I had gotten through ⅔ of my plate, my mouth starting convulsing from the heat (true story). It was one of the most amazing dishes I've ever eaten. EVER! I couldn't stop eating. The Rama Chicken was leagues better than we'd ever had, and the sauce, I'm pretty sure I could mainline. The pineapple rice, actually tasted like pineapple. Not something we were used to from other restaurants. The fresh rolls, dumplings, and every other dish was plated beautifully. Her vegetables were cooked perfectly, and did I mention the Thai chili sauce? This place raises the bar so high, that I'm quite sure I'll never find another Thai restaurant to top it. Thank you, Ian, for telling me about this beautiful couple, and their amazing cuisine. I don't care where you live, if you don't go to this small town hidden treasure, you may regret it for the rest of your life. We love you, James, Tina and your awesome crew! We can't wait to...
Read moreOh my, where to begin...my first interaction was by phone to order our take out dinner. The gentleman on the phone was southern polite by saying how may I help you sir or ma'am? I said I'd like to order to go. He politely asked me can I hold? Within in 2 mins of holding he picked back up and apologized for my hold (which was not long at all) and asked could I hold a moment longer. He came back to me within 2 mins and apologized for my hold again and asked my order. I ordered the egg rolls, herbed chicken and green curry. He said it will be ready for pickup in 20 mins. I picked up my order in a most impressively clean restaurant which has open viewing of the kitchen. This place was immaculately clean. So having said all the kudos to the staff and restuarant, I'll mention the food. The herbed chicken, egg rolls and green curry was off the charts!!! I was so surprised to see a Thai restaurant in Waverly Hall. GA and let me tell you no disappointment in any area! Thank you Tina,...
Read moreExcellent Thai food cooked by a wonderful cook - Tina! Love the Laab Gai, Fried Rice and really ALL their dishes! Nice folks and wonderful atmosphere. Highly recommend everyone give them a try! UPDATE We do takeout here about once a week and have been doing so for a few years! The food is excellent and has actually improved over time - if that’s even possible! Tina and James are sweet sweet people and it shows in the way they prepare and serve their food - absolutely yummy! Our latest obsession is the chicken pho. Wait, isn’t pho a Vietnamese specialty? Actually they serve pho in Thailand, it just has a different name, but since Americans know this flavorful soup as pho, that’s what it’s called on their menu. And we think it’s way more flavorful than what we’ve gotten at the various Vietnamese restaurants. We also love the fresh rolls, panang chicken, pad thai, krapow gai…well you get the idea! 😊 Highly recommend!! So glad they’re a staple in...
