Bridge Inn — Restaurant in Waverly

This, is quite single handedly, the worst restaurant I’ve EVER been to. Went there with 4 friends, and we were seated in the back, which is fine but the place is so crammed, it was a struggle to get back there. Our waitress, after 10 minutes of waiting finally got us our drinks, and then we were seeing people seated after us, get their orders taken BEFORE US. They were elderly, it’s as if us younger group of guys were neglected for the age that we are, we’re pretty patient, especially in packed restaurants, which, as crammed as it was I bet its hectic, but when we wait over an HOUR for our orders to be taken, and seeing people with refilled drinks and theirs before us is absolutely unacceptable. Not to mention, the place has to AC, nor proper ventilation, so you’re sitting there sweating at your table needing hydration, and the waitress staff are catering for elder customers, who came in after us, get their things before us. Now let’s get onto the food, absolutely disappointing. I ordered a side of mozzarella sticks, which came in this 6 piece basket, for 8 dollars, after waiting over 20-25 minutes I finally got them. They were so disappointing, the ends were steaming hot but the middle cold, I expected them to be homemade but you could honestly get better, for less at Sonic. Coming here I expected homecooked/homemade food, but that wasn’t the case. Next I got a tenderloin sandwich and fries, the sandwich, was juicy and mediocrely crispy, but it was unseasoned. No seasoning went on this, it was just like biting a crispy sponge. My fries, were limp, and also cold, despite having mildly heated nacho cheese on top, which, when I ordered cheese fries, I expected it to be shredded cheese, not something you’d find from your local school lunch cafeteria nacho sauce during a homecoming football game. Needless to say, the food was terrible, overpriced, and the place was packed, the staff were clueless on who’s order to prioritize, meaning you’re gonna wait over 1 or one and half hours, just for bland, disappointingly unseasoned, cold food. Glad to see a restaurant back in this location. Hope they can showcase the river view more in the future. Friendly staff, nice restroom. Good food & affordable. Look at the size of the chicken strips in that basket meal! It did take quite a while from order to table. Rating would have been all 5⭐s if the noise level had allowed conversation. Apparently one patron was in control of the large TV remote. Music videos were playing at the volume setting of over 40. NOT conducive to a pleasant family dinner.
