Hardee's — Restaurant in Waverly

Our cashier, Jessica as it states on our receipt (she had no name tag. Hopefully she wasn’t under someone else’s username.) was extremely rude. We walked up and said hello and asked how she was doing. She said “good” really silently and said absolutely nothing to us the entire time, not a greeting not a goodbye. She had a scrunched up look on her face and was not customer friendly at all. When she went to hand us our money, she acted like she didn’t want to get anywhere near us and dropped the cash and change in our hand very rudely and we said thank you. We were just as nice as we could be, we tried to make conversation and she said nothing during our entire visit it was like she ignored absolutely everything we said. We were honestly afraid she was going to spit in our food or something with the way she treated us and displayed her awful customer service skills. We also asked her for some sauces which she did not put in the bag at all, we had to ask another employee for our sauces as our cashier walked away as soon as she dropped our bag on the counter. She should definitely not be working in customer service. Maybe a job where she doesn’t have to have human communication because she has no people skills. All the other staff was kind and spoke to us throughout our visit but I would not return with the way she treated us and looked at us. Very disappointed with their hiring process. I'm only giving this place a 1, because 0 isn't an option!! We actually just left here about ten minutes ago, I'm not usually the type to leave a review but his is the WORST place I have EVER been to! First the guy at the drive thru couldn't comprehend our order, not sure if it was the equipment or that he just didn't understand! We finallyyyy make it to the window, and were asked to pull up. My daughter asked for a plain hot dog and it was far from plain! We proceeded to eat our fries, which were ice cold and tasted as if they weren't completely done. As if we weren't disappointed enough, we proceeded to take a few sips of our soda, which is when we realized we were given no straws. Fine, no biggie we'll take the tops off! To our surprise even our drinks were horrible! They were beyondddd flat! We stopped at the Wendy's down the street tossed the food and drinks out and had Wendy's! It makes it even worse that they weren't even busy. While my husband sat in the drive thru my daughter and I went in to use the restroom and not one person was in the building besides the workers! The bathrooms were clean, that's about the only thing I can give them...

First let me say, never, ever go there when you're famished. Secondly, it's Hardee's. No expectations..... ever. Now, the young lady at the counter was awesome! The place was filthy. Floors were nasty. The bathroom? No soap, dirty, nasty.

On to the food, I opted for fried chicken. A rare guilty treat. Lee's Chicken on Broad is my favorite but it's very rare I get fried chicken......ohhhhh yeahhhhh, this is about Hardee's Chicken, not Lee's..... but do yourself a favor, if you like fried chicken, make the pilgrimage to Lee's. The breading was really crispy, a nice plus, but holy crap! If I had dropped that box of chicken into the Great Lakes, it was so salty, they would have become the Great Inland Sea, all of them! Way, waaaayyyy too much salt! The chicken itself was very tender, juicy and flavorful. Will I go back? At some point, I'm sure I'll cross the threshold into Hardee's. I'll have to be starving and desperate to fill the void. Hardee's was my first job, so I do have a bit of a soft spot for them, but that's fading into the past, quickly. If they can't pull it together and run a cleaner establishment, I suspect their days...
