The Southside Grill — Restaurant in Wayne Township

Man this is such a disappointment to even do this. This place used to be good, brought part of my car club with 12 people with me here months ago and had better/faster service than I did today. Whatever changed from back in October 2023 to March 2024, it needs to go back. I ordered 12 wings (hot and hot chili), my son ordered mild wings and wife had a taco bowl. My hot chili wings were just hotsauce and a little chili powder (you could see the powder) but still tasted like I was eating a hot sauce chicken soup. My son never got his mild wings but they gave him Creamy Buffalo instead. The waiter Allison told us they were Creamy Buffalo, I told her they were supposed to be mild and she said "oh yeah, they're mild" then walked off. They were creamy Buffalo. Keep in mind, we waited over an hour for this food with 3/4ths capacity just on the bar side alone. Waited another 30min for her to come with the check. Didn't really pay attention to the check at first and paid for the bill, then looked at it and noticed they charged us for food I never ordered, taco bowl price jumped up $5 and they charged my daughter an extra drink on her meal even AFTER it was "corrected".

Like I said, very disappointed. I was super excited when this bar opened but if we get this kind of service, I won't be eating or supporting this bar again.

You can tell they absolutely care about their food and drink recipes and what they're sending out to table. The drinks are well balanced and not watered down. I love that they feature local wine and liquor. The food came out not overly greasy and what fried things we got you can tell they are changing the oil out regularly and the fryers are well maintained. No odd or stale aftertaste on anything that came from the fryer. We got the bleenies, poutine fries, brisket mac n cheese stromboli (HIGHLY recommend) and baskets of chicken fingers and fries. We ate in the tiki bar and there was a cover band. If you're sensitive to loud boisterous atmospheres I recommend the dining room. We had an absolute blast in the tiki bar area though. No bad view to see the band and a bit of room at the front to dance. It can get a little difficult to see the band if you're not sitting at the bar or a high top table when people are dancing. So I will start by saying the bartender Steve needs an aditude adjustment. He doesn't know how to make drinks and I watched him verbally abuse the waitress. The waitress was sweet and worked hard. The food was oily and was okay not great. I definitely need to speak to a manager though because for a 10 dollar drink your bartender didn't measure your alcohol and used the wrong kind then didn't want to take it off bill after no on drank it. You need to watch your alcohol because he's wasteful and needs to be trained or removed and IN NO WAY SHOULD HE BE TRAINING SOMEONE. I bartended for years and he basically told me to f off. I wouldn't come back after his actions towards staff and customers.
